Abstract: The present invention discloses a cold plate with rapid chamber formation structure comprises an upper layer, a lower layer and a cooling liquid. The upper layer is made up of a thermally conducting polymer material. The lower layer is made of thermally insulating polymer material. The lower layer is shorter in cross-section than the upper layer. The cooling liquid is housed between the upper layer and lower layer. The upper layer and the lower layer are joint at side faces with angle of inclination at 45°.

Claims

1. A cold plate with rapid chamber formation structure comprises: an upper layer, wherein the upper layer is made up of a thermally conducting polymer material; a lower layer, wherein the lower layer is made of thermally insulating polymer material, wherein the lower layer is shorter in cross-section than the upper layer; a cooling liquid, wherein the cooling liquid is housed between the upper layer and lower layer; wherein, the upper layer and the lower layer are joint at side faces with angle of inclination at 45°.

2. The cold plate as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooling liquid is made up of Calcium Chloride (CaCl2).

3. The cold plate as claimed in claim 1, wherein the joint comprises a tight adhesive, wherein the joint allows to adhere one cold plate with another to form a cubical or cuboidal chamber with 0-0.5% thermal exchange allowance.

4. The cold plate as claimed in claim 3, wherein the temperature is held inside the formed cubical or cuboidal chamber is ranged at -20°C - +10°C for 24-96 hours. A) TECHNICAL FIELD OF INVENTION
[001] The present invention generally relates to a cold storage apparatus and particularly relates to an ice-plate with eco-friendly nature. The present invention more particularly relates to an ice-plates having ability to integrate with other ice plates form a rapid isolation chamber.
B) BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
[002] The cold storage is well known mechanism being adopted for preserving various living and non-living materials as well as aesthetics like medical dosages. There are many ways to facilitate the cold storage but the best known method is using ice packing. There are different kind of ice packing made of dry ice and normal ice.
[003] One of the prior arts discloses an improved ice chest and cold plate apparatus for use in beverage dispensers. The ice chest and cold plate apparatus includes an ice storage container having an open top, a bottom, and four sidewalls. A cold plate heat exchanger is affixed to the outer surface of the bottom of the ice storage container with a thermally conductive adhesive. The cold plate includes a plurality of cooling circuits comprising tubular coils extending in a serpentine path and die-cast in aluminum to form an aluminum block. The improved ice chest and cold plate apparatus is simpler, less expensive and easier to manufacture than prior art ice chests with cold plates.
[004] However, the conventionally used cold plates or ice plates uses a thermostat technique or housing of a non-environment friendly and only used as -2-
a base over which an object to be cooled is placed. Thus they fails to isolate the object thermally from ambience.
[005] In the view of foregoing, there is a need for a cold plate with a rapid and efficient isolation chamber formation ability. Also there is a need for a cold plate with an eco-friendly cooling liquid or fluid or solid compound.
[006] The above mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein, as detailed below.
C) OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
[007] The primary object of the embodiments in the present invention is to provide a cold plate with a rapid and efficient isolation chamber formation ability.
[008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a cold plate with an eco-friendly cooling liquid or fluid or solid compound.
[009] These and other objects and advantages of the embodiments herein will become readily apparent from the following detailed description taken in conjunction with the accompanying drawings.
D) SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
[0010] The various embodiments of the present invention disclose a cold plate with rapid chamber formation structure comprises an upper layer, a lower layer and a cooling liquid. The upper layer is made up of a thermally conducting polymer material. The lower layer is made of thermally insulating polymer -3-
material. The lower layer is shorter in cross-section than the upper layer. The cooling liquid is housed between the upper layer and lower layer. The upper layer and the lower layer are joint at side faces with angle of inclination at 45°.
[0011] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the cooling liquid is made up of Calcium Chloride (CaCl2).
[0012] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the joint comprises a tight adhesive. The joint allows to adhere one cold plate with another to form a cubical or cuboidal chamber with 0-0.5% thermal exchange allowance.
[0013] According to one embodiment of the present invention, the temperature is held inside the formed cubical or cuboidal chamber is ranged at -20°C - +10°C for 24-96 hours.

[0018] FIG. 1 illustrates a cubical chamber formed by joining the said cold plates, according to one embodiment of the present invention. With respect to FIG. 1, the cold plate comprises an upper layer 101, a lower layer 102 and a cooling liquid (not shown). The upper layer 101 is made up of a thermally conducting polymer material. The lower layer 102 is made of thermally insulating polymer material. The lower layer 102 is shorter in cross-section than the upper layer 101. The cooling liquid is housed between the upper layer 101 and the lower layer 102. The upper layer 101 and the lower layer 102 are joint at

side faces with angle of inclination at 45°. The chamber is formulated by combining six plates in such a way that form a cube. Due to 45° join angle, each plate is adhered to another with a gap allowance in the range of .01-.1 mm resulting in 0-0.5% thermal exchange rate with respect to a thermal exchange rate for an open box.
[0019] According to one embodiment of the present invention, an outer surface of the upper layer comprises a strong adhesive to allow an adherence to other formed chamber and become a large compartmentalized cold storage chamber.
G) ADVANTAGES OF THE INVENTION
[0020] The said cold plate provides least thermal exchange and forms a cold chamber in a quick time of 5 seconds, which allows a quick storage and shipment of a plurality of medical, surgical and other instruments as well as medicines and organs. Since each formed chamber can adhere to another and form a big compartmentalized chamber, so it assists in shipment of the said medical, surgical and other instruments as well as medicines and organs to large distances.

I claim:
1. A cold plate with rapid chamber formation structure comprises:
an upper layer, wherein the upper layer is made up of a thermally conducting polymer material;
a lower layer, wherein the lower layer is made of thermally insulating polymer material, wherein the lower layer is shorter in cross-section than the upper layer;
a cooling liquid, wherein the cooling liquid is housed between the upper layer and lower layer;
wherein, the upper layer and the lower layer are joint at side faces with angle of inclination at 45°.
2. The cold plate as claimed in claim 1, wherein the cooling liquid is made up of Calcium Chloride (CaCl2).
