We claim:
1. A remote control apparatus for a light vehicle wherein a reception unit (227) for receiving a signal from a normal portable transmitter (226) carried by a vehicle user is disposed on a light vehicle in which an accommodating box (30) is disposed below a riding seat (31) mounted for opening and closing movement and, when a signal received by said reception unit (227) is a predetermined ID signal, at least starting of an engine is enabled, characterized in that said reception unit (227) is disposed in said accommodating box (30) or in said riding seat (31).

A remote control apparatus for a light vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein said reception unit (227) including a board (229) having an antenna (230) disposed on one face thereof and having a reception circuit (231) provided on the other face thereof and a case (232) in which said board (229) is accommodated.
3. A remote control apparatus for a light vehicle as claimed in claim 1, wherein a maintenance lid (117) for allowing maintenance relating to an engine (E) disposed below said accommodating box (30) to be performed is provided for opening and closing movement on a bottom wall of said accommodating box (30), and said reception unit (227) is disposed in said accommodating box (30) in such a manner as to be covered with part of said maintenance lid (117).
4. A remote control apparatus for a light vehicle substantially as hereinbefore described with reference to the accompanying drawings.
