Ejector Assembly

Abstract: An ejector assembly (100) to be attached to a nip roller (200) in a printing process is described. The ejector assembly (100) comprises a flat plate (101) provided with curved ends to enable ejection of defective blanks, wherein the flat plate (101) is substantially V-shaped. A support member (102) is connected to the flat plate (101) at each of forked end of the substantially V-shape. A plunger (103) is connected to the flat plate (101) on a base of the substantially V-shape to enable the movement of the flat plate (101) to eject the defective blanks. Further, a frame (105) is connected to the plunger (103) by a bracket (104).

Specification

Claims:1. An ejector assembly (100) to be attached to a nip roller (200) in a printing process, the ejector assembly (100) comprising:
a flat plate (101) provided with curved ends to enable ejection of defective blanks, wherein the flat plate is substantially V-shaped;
a support member (102) connected to the flat plate (101) at each of forked end of the substantially V-shape;
a plunger (103) connected to the flat plate (101) on a base of the substantially V-shape to enable the movement of the flat plate (101) to eject the defective blanks; and
a frame (105) connected to the plunger (103) by a bracket (104).
2. The ejector assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein each support member (102) is connected to the flat plate (101).
3. The ejector assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plunger (103) is connected to the flat plate (101).
4. The ejector assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plunger (103) is connected to one or more fluid flow pipes to actuate the plunger (103).
5. The ejector assembly (100) as claimed in claim 1, wherein the frame (105) connects the ejector assembly (100) to the nip roller (200).
6. A method for ejection of defective blanks, the method comprising:
transferring a printed blank from a die cutter to a nip roller 200 connected to an ejector assembly 100;
determining whether the printed blank is defective; and
