"Electric Drive Device And Electric Power Steering Device"

Abstract: With the present invention obtained are an electric drive device and an electric power steering device with which it is possible to improve output while suppressing the occurrence of irreversible demagnetization of a permanent magnet during one-system driving. With this electric drive device a coil configuring a first armature winding and a coil configuring a second armature winding are alternately arrayed in the circumferential direction and when one of a first system and a second system fails a control unit stops the driving of an inverter of the failed system performs drive control of the inverter of the system that has not failed and performs one-system driving that supplies an inverter phase current set to a second upper limit value that is greater than a first upper limit value of the inverter phase current during two-system driving to the armature winding of the system that has not failed.
