Abstract: The present invention relates to the field of electric motor and more specifically the present invention relates to a direct current electric motor with magnetic field 5 poles made of ferrite permanent magnets. The electric motor comprises a stator (801) and a rotor (802). The stator includes a plurality of teeth (803, 804) spaced apart from each other forming plurality of slots (805a, 805b) there between. Particularly a first teeth (803) of the plurality of teeth (803,804) includes at least a first side (803a) and a second side (803b) formed obliquely and said first side 10 (803a) of said first teeth (803) is obliquely formed with respect to an adjacent side (804a) of said second teeth (804) of the plurality of teeth (803,804).
DESC:ELECTRIC MOTOR ,CLAIMS:1. An electric motor comprising:
a stator (801) including a plurality of teeth (803, 804) spaced apart from each other forming plurality of slots (805a, 805b) therebetween, each slot (805a) of said plurality of slots 5 (805a, 805b) being formed between two adjacent teeth of the plurality of teeth (803, 804) ; and
a rotor (801) including a plurality of ferrite permanent magnets (620) mounted on an inner surface (630) of said rotor (801), said rotor (801) is disposed rotatably about an axis of 10 rotation (x,y),
wherein, a first teeth (803) of the plurality of teeth (803, 804) and a second teeth (804) of said plurality of teeth (803, 804) are separated by a first slot (805a) therebetween, and wherein said first teeth (803) includes at least a first side (803a) and a second 15 side (803b) formed obliquely and said first side (803a) of said first teeth (803) is obliquely formed with respect to an adjacent side (804a) of said second teeth (804) of the plurality of teeth (803, 804) .
2. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said rotor (802) 20 is disposed rotatably about said axis of rotation (x,y) around said stator (801), and said stator (801) includes radially outward

projecting plurality of teeth (803,804) spaced apart from each other forming plurality of slots (805a,805b) therebetween.

The electric motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said stator (801) is disposed around said rotor (802) disposed rotatably about said axis of rotation (x,y), said stator (801) includes radially inward 5 projecting plurality of teeth spaced apart from each other forming plurality of slots therebetween.
4. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1-3, wherein said plurality of slots (805a,805b) has depth in the range of 20-30%.
5. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1 has a torque density in the 10 range of 15-40 kNm/m3.
6. The electric motor as claimed in claim 1, wherein said plurality of slots (805a,805b) formed between said plurality of teeth (803,804) spaced apart are capable of accommodating a number of windings wound around said plurality of teeth (803,804). 15
7. The electric motor as claimed in claim 6, wherein said number of windings is made of a conducting material.
8. A vehicle comprising an electric motor as claimed in any of the preceding claims.
