Abstract: ABSTRACT This invention provides a modern method of generating electric power. The system uses conversion of kinetic energy to electrical energy. During motion kinetic energy is developed in the axle and wheel arrangement of the train. This energy is transferred to generator via Gear , gear shaft and universal joint. The output from the generator in the form of Electrical energy, is then transmitted to Transformer and then via pantograph to the overhead wire. This generated power can then be distributed to nearby sub – stations for industrial and domestic use. In India projects like Konkan railway and South Central railway, which run on diesel engine, this system can be used effectively. The invention is an environment friendly and cost effective alternative to existing power generation systems.

FILES OF DISCLOSURE:
The present disclosure relates to a single /three phase electric power generation system using rotational energy from rotating wheel of a train.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION:
As we all know electricity is an important driver for industrial as well as agricultural growth of any country. We are also aware that it is a scarce resource in India. The rate of increase in demand is going up with each passing year. Therefore there is an urgent need to find newer and better ways for conservation of utilized energy.
The present invention is an effort to aid in overcoming this problem. The present invention relates to an electric power generation system using rotational energy from moving train and converting it to electrical energy.
In the present scenario, electricity is required for running a train. Consumption of electric power is very high. This system can be used in trains which run on diesel engine. When a train is in motion, the otherwise wasted rotational energy can be tapped by means of gears and shafts and converted into electric energy for industrial and domestic use.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE PREFERRED EMBODIMENTS
Fig. 1: Arrangement shows bevel gear (02) mounted on axle(01) of the wheel axle assembly. The bevel gear mounted is such that it is on the opposite side of the gear shaft(03), at front wheel and rear wheel. The horizontal gear shaft(03) incorporates 3 nos. of gear. One at either end and one at the center of the shaft. The center gear (04) is connected to lower vertical gear shaft(05). This gear shaft has a gear at one end and a flange at the other. An universal joint (06) is connected to the flange end. Similarly another universal joint is connected to flange of upper vertical gear shaft(07). The bevel gear on the other side of this shaft is thereby connected to horizontal gear shaft (08). Bushes (09) are provided for supporting upper horizontal gear shaft.
Fig. 2 : shows the enclosed view of the same arrangement. Spring & hydraulic suspension (11) is incorporated for avoiding vibration in the system. This spring (11) , bolster (14), wheels (12) are assembled with side frame(10). Horizontal and vertical gear shafts are enclosed inside supporter (13). Vertical support (15) for universal joint and gear is fixed on wagon chassis and connected with the bolster (14) which is below the chassis. Vertical support (15) and top cap of support (17) has a spacer (16) in between. Main gear shaft
Fig. 3 : (18) and small gear shaft (19) is connected with the generator rotor shaft with a flange (20).This system uses a generator( 21) with a max. capacity of 20KV.
Fig. 4 Gear box housing (22) encloses a big and small gear within. This is a gear box housing cap (23) on the gear box housing. (24) AC 3 phase insulated wire with a capacity of 20KV is connected from Generator to Switch gear (25) . A three phase high voltage insulator (26) on top of Switch gear box and a long high voltage insulator (27) is also provided. AC 20 KV transformer (28) is used in this system.
A single phase or a three phase pantograph (29) can be used in this system. Two types of insulators are provided on top of bogie, for avoiding power loss. There is a 3 phase system using pneumatic cylinder for further transmission of electric power.
