Abstract: A first stage phase compensation means a second stage phase compensation means and a third stage phase compensation means are configured such that the frequency at which the phase calculated from a transfer function of the first stage phase compensation means becomes maximum matches the frequencies at which the phases calculated from transfer functions of the second stage phase compensation means and the third stage phase compensation means become maximum. A motor for generating assist torque is controlled on the basis of torque signals subjected to phase compensation by the first stage phase compensation means the second stage phase compensation means and the third stage phase compensation means.
