Abstract: Discloses is an electric trip circuit for gas stop/speed ratio and control valve of heavy duty gas turbine, said electric trip circuit comprises: a normally opened solenoid valve of 20FG-1, and a trip relay valve connected with manifold for energized and de-energized for causing dump hydraulic oil from the cylinder without any leakage. Said trip relay valve is a 4-way, 2-position solenoid operated dump valve (20VSR) is a spring biased spool valve, which dump hydraulic oil from the cylinder to drain causing the gas stop/ratio valve to shut close. This solenoid valve is de-energized to trip and energized to reset from the SPEEDTRONIC control panel. It is a spring biased to trip and therefore, protect the turbine during all normal situations as well as for loss of DC power.
