Electric Vehicle Drive System

Abstract: An electric vehicle drive system (200) comprises: a control device (120) that controls electric motors (80, 81) for driving the axles (40a, 40b) of a bogie (40) of an electric vehicle (150A); and another control device (121) that controls other electric motors (82, 83) for driving the axles (41a, 41b) of another bogie (41). The control devices (120, 121) each comprise an inverter (60) and a control unit (30) for controlling the inverter (60). The control device (120) is housed in a housing (260), and the control device (121) is housed in another housing (261). The housings (260, 261) are each attached with coolers (270, 271) for cooling the housings (260, 261) by using traveling wind. The control devices (120, 121) are distributed and disposed close to the bogie (40) and close to the bogie (41).
