Specification

DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
[001] The present invention relates to an electronically actuated automatically controlled system (e-ACA system) to control the clutch movement at high RPM in manual transmission system of the vehicle, thereby prevent the engine to reach beyond its safe limit and a method of manufacturing thereof.
BACKGROUND
[002] It is common mistakes being done by driver, wherein driver randomly shift the gear to lower gear without limiting or lowering the speed of the vehicle resultant lead to wear and tear of the gear system of the vehicle. Also, sometime driver on terrain or uneven path follow rush or wrong driving practice and shift the gear to lower gear at high speed or during rush driving which may lead to severe accident and damage to engine, clutch and gear transmission system of the vehicle.
[003] Hence there is an unmet need of a retrofitted automatically controlled gear transmission system in the manual transmission system of the vehicle, which may cost effective and user friendly as compared to automatic transmission system vehicle and also may prevent the engine to reach beyond its safe limit.
BRIEF SUMMARY
[004] The present invention provides an electronically actuated automatically controlled system (e-ACA system) to control the clutch movement at high RPM in manual transmission system of the vehicle, thereby prevent the engine to reach beyond its safe limit. With this electronically actuated automatically controlled system, the clutch is automatically disengaged from engine without driver intervention. Thereby it considered to be unique, safe, economic and easy to retrofit or install on the vehicle.
[005] On contrary, in the conventional clutch operating system, air is directly supplied to clutch booster, which engage and disengage the clutch. Here the air supply valve gets open, the moment the driver presses the clutch pedal. However, in the e-ACA system of the present subject matter, one electro-pneumatic device has been introduced in between air supply and clutch booster, which bypass the air supply circuit automatically after receiving the engine RPM signal and dis-engage the clutch, without pressing the clutch pedal. In this concept clutch pedal remain in its position and internally the clutch has been opened. This system works so fast, that it will not be noticed by driver in case he did mistake in gear shift. Refer below the circuit diagram of e-ACA concept.
[006] The working of e-ACA system is illustrated in such a manner that the e-ACA device of present invention is fitted on vehicle chassis at any suitable position. Further the vehicle pneumatic pipe is connected on inlet pneumatic port of ACA device. One output pneumatic port of ACA is connected with clutch booster air inlet port. 2nd output port of ACA device is also fitted in clutch booster inlet port for direct clutch actuation. Here the ACA operation software logic has been built in such a way, that when Engine RPM is below predefined threshold RPM, then clutch operation will be through clutch pedal.
[007] But, if engine RPM threshold has been reached to pre-defined threshold RPM, then ECU gives signal to ACA device to activate. As ACA activates, it bypasses the air supply to clutch booster, and clutch operates automatically, without pedal pressing. As clutch separates from engine, RPM starts reducing and when it reaches to pre-defined low threshold RPM, ACA device deactivates, and clutch starts engaging again.
[008] Towards the validation of the concept of present subject matter, the e-ACA system is fitted on a vehicle and various tests has been conducted to verify the performance. To protect engine overrunning, ACS concept is working very well, and results were also promising and encouraging. The engine RPM is being not overshooting beyond safe limit. However, the one challenge, which was observed during ACA operation, was heavy jerk felt during auto clutch engagement, when threshold RPM reduces. Therefore, to overcome this jerk, issue, one more innovative concept has been introduced to control the air flow in ACA and clutch booster. One Orifice Controller has been fitted on ACA device, which will control the air flow during clutch disengagement and engagement automatically. This eliminates Jerk issue completely and clutch operates automatically and smoothly.
[009] The advantages of device of present invention that it does not comprises a sensor on clutch pedal, thereby it is cost effective and easy to operate.
[0010] Further it is a highly modular system which can be adopted on existing vehicle. Thereby it is
[0011] highly reliable unit which can bypass the pneumatic circuit for clutch actuation.
[0012] Further the device of present invention actuates the clutch automatically without driver intervention, thereby the system avoids major damage of vehicle. Further it has minimal parts or components, hence easy to install on vehicle and economically viable

DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
[0013] The present invention relates to relates to the electronically actuated automatically controlled system (e-ACA system) to control the clutch movement at high RPM in Manual Transmission vehicle, thereby prevent the engine to reach beyond its safe limit and a method of manufacturing thereof.
[0014] FIG. 1 describes the system of the present subject matter
[0015] FIG. 2 discloses the working of the present subject matter
[0016] FIG. 1 relates to an electronically actuated automatically controlled system (e-ACA system) to control the clutch movement at high RPM in manual transmission system of the vehicle, thereby prevent the engine to reach beyond its safe limit.
[0017] Here with this electronically actuated automatically controlled system, the clutch is automatically disengaged from engine without driver intervention. Thereby it considered to be unique, safe, economic and easy to retrofit or install on vehicle.
[0018] On contrary, in the conventional clutch operating system, air is directly supplied to clutch booster which engage and disengage the clutch.
[0019] FIG. 2 describes the working of the present subject matter, wherein the e-ACA device of present invention is fitted on vehicle chassis at any suitable position. However, if engine RPM threshold has been reached to pre-defined threshold RPM, then ECU gives signal to ACA device to activate. As ACA activates, it bypasses the air supply to clutch booster, and clutch operates automatically, without pedal pressing. As clutch separates from engine, RPM starts reducing and when it reaches to pre-defined low threshold RPM, ACA device deactivates, and clutch starts engaging again.
