Electrode Assembly And Method For Manufacturing Same

Abstract: An electrode assembly according to an embodiment of the present invention comprises: a negative electrode; a positive electrode; and a separator positioned between the negative electrode and the positive electrode, wherein the negative electrode, the positive electrode, and the separator are wound together to form a jelly-roll structure. The negative electrode comprises a negative electrode current collector and a negative electrode active material portion formed by coating a negative electrode active material onto the negative electrode current collector. The positive electrode comprises a positive electrode current collector and a positive electrode active material portion formed by coating a positive electrode active material onto the positive electrode current collector. A negative electrode uncoated portion of the negative electrode current collector, on which the negative electrode active material is not coated, extends in a first direction, and a positive electrode uncoated portion of the positive electrode current collector, on which the positive electrode active material is not coated, extends in a second direction opposite to the first direction. The positive electrode active material portion includes a loading reduction portion in which a loading amount of the positive electrode active material is smaller than that of an adjacent region, and the loading reduction portion is located at one end of the positive electrode in the first direction.
