Electrode Assembly, Battery, And Battery Pack And Vehicle Comprising Same

Abstract: An electrode assembly according to one embodiment of the present invention has a structure in which a sheet-shaped first electrode and second electrode and a separator interposed therebetween are wound around a shaft so as to define a core and an outer circumferential surface. Each of the first electrode and the second electrode comprise, on a long side end portion thereof, an uncoated portion not coated with an active material layer, and, in an area that excludes the uncoated portion, a coated portion coated with an active material layer. The first electrode comprises an insulation layer for simultaneously covering, in the winding direction, at least a part of the uncoated portion and at least a part of the coated portion. The uncoated portion of the first electrode can be bent in the radial direction of an electrode assembly, and a bent point can be spaced from an axial-direction end portion of the insulation layer. At least a part of the uncoated portion of the first electrode is used as an electrode tab itself.
