Electrode Free And Shock Proof Automatic Controlled Antioverflow Water Storage Tank

Abstract: Overflow is a great problem of water storage tanks. So many mechanical, electrical and electronics based devices areavailable to stop overflow. But no person is bound to use these devices because they are not in-built. Due to these devices 10 to 15% of tank volume remains empty. Insects can enter to the tank easily. Electrical and electronic based anti-overflow devices have a great fear of electric shock, and demerit of scaling on electrodes, due to direct touching of water. Mechanical devices are very sensitive and non-durable, they failed at high pressure easily. The electronics device used in this inventionto stop the motor pump is fully shock proof and scaling free because it does not touch water, and placed outside the tank. This invent tank has inbuilt anti-overflow system. This tank fills in its full volume. Thus all common demerits of traditional tanks are removed in this invented.

Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention is relates to tanks, generally used for storage of water in home and commercial
sector such as hospital, college, school, industry etc.The traditionaltanks have so many basic
problemssuch as overflow of water, outbreak of insects, fear of electric shock, Scaling on
electrodes, tear and wear during cleaning etc. This invention presents a new design of much
capable, efficient and durable anti-overflow water storage tank in comparison of traditional
tanks.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Need of continuous water supply in domestic and commercial uses are increasing day by day.
For this purpose water storage tank are in use, in big number. Generally theses tank puts on
terrace of the building and fills through colony/ municipal supply or by submersible or by
motor pump. During tanks filing we cannot watch the water level inside the tank, so overflow
of water is very common. Overflow of water creates so many problems such as wastage of
valuable water and resources, damp in building, decomposition of building colour, roof,
plaster and wall, outbreak of mosquito insect and weed etc.
To avoid this overflow, some mechanical and electronic devices are use in tanks, but
practically nearby 80% tanks occurs overflow due to above said demerits of present antioverflow
devices. This is worry full scenario of wastage of water and related resources. So it
is a big need of these demeritsfree tank. This invention is inspiredby this need.
PRIOR ARTS AND THEIR DEMERITS
There is much type of tanks available with anti-overflow system. The water storage tank
having anti-overflow device, can be divided into two types, mechanical based and electric /
electronics based.
MECHANICAL BASED
(1) Open float ball valve system:-In this system an empty ball with a lever, hangs inside
the tank nearby up to 12 inches below the tank cover and, connects to inlet pipe.
When water reaches near to inlet pipe it pushes floating ball upward. In this moment
levercloses the mouth of inlet pipe, and incoming of water stops. At high water
pressure it become damage easily. So this device is not successful in water supply.
(2) Closed chamber float Ball valve system:-The basic principle of checking the
overflow is same as 'open float valve system'.But Closed chamber float ball valve
systemis some more compact in size and shape. This is very sensitive device. At high
3
water pressure it become damage easily, so this device is not successful in water
supply.
ELECTRONIC DEVICES
(3) Mercury base switch system- In this system a watertight vessel partially filled with
Mercury hangs from the top sites in the tank. The vessel has two electrodes inside,
which connectsto motor pumpin series with wire. When water reach to top of tank, the
vessel also move upward, in this condition mercury touches the both electrodes and
create a short circuit for a relay connected with motor pump. The short circuit operate
to relay and it disconnect the power supply of motor and thus motor pump stops.
Great fear of toxicity of water by Mercury and fear of electric shock presents always
in this system.
(4) Electronic circuit andLimit switch base anti overflow system- In these kinds of
systems electronic circuit judge the water level with the help of electrodes placedin
tank and send electronic signal accordingly to operate motor- pump. Electrodes
merges in water generally and thus occur scaled. There is a great fear of electric shock
in this system.
Scaling is the big problem of all electrode base anti-overflow devices. Due to scaling of
electrodes it become high maintenance full, costly, non-durable andnon-reliable. Due to
installation of these devices in upper part of the tank, neither tank could fills in its full volume
nor does it remain insect free.

DEMERITS OF AVAILABLE DEVICES
The maindemerits of traditional anti-overflow devices are-
1 All these traditional electronic devices live in direct touch of water in tank. most of people
do not want to use them due to fear of electric shocks. Electrodes of such electronic devices
become scaled very quickly so it is very irrigative to repair them again and again.
2 Mechanical type anti-overflow accessories are very sensitive and non-durable. Motor pump
does not stop in most of cases when tank become full and overflow occurs.
3 Tanks could not fill in full capacity due to installation of anti-overflow components inside
the tank, and up to 15% volume remains empty. Thus this is wastage of resources.
4 Nobody is bound to use anti-overflow devices because they are not in-built with the tank.
4
5 Due to these traditional devices tanks could not remain insect free.
6 Tear and wear occur during maintenance and cleaning of the tank because component
connects with tank very Ridgley and tank cleaning need some movability.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
Traditional anti-overflow devices are must to be installed inside the tank, and water touches
to their electrode, so most of people do not use them due to fear of electric shock and
electrode scaling. Thus huge quantity of water occurs wastage. The basic object of this
invention is to provide a new option of anti-overflow electronic devices, in whichwater do
not touch any part of devicefor avoid electric shockand scaling. The secondary objects of this
invention is to design aninsect free, rough-tough, low maintaining, durable and low cost antioverflow
device which can use full capacity of tankfor filling water.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
Scenario of wastage of water in traditional water storage tank is very worrying. Nearby 80%
water storage tank overflows daily after availability and installation of many anti-overflow
devices. More than thousands litre water wastes daily due to their incapability. There is no
quite fit, reliable, cheap and durable anti-overflow system available. So there is a big need of
such anti-overflow system which can fight with these problems. The present invention is a
good option for these problems. This system removes most of demerits of existing devices. In
this invention the anti-overflow device is in-built with tank; the electrodes are placed outside
the tank and do not touch the water. This is fully insect free. Its components are cheap and
durable. This device will increase the trend of using anti-overflow devices in water storage
tank by common man.

water.
DESCRIPTION OF MECHANISM OF THE DEVICE
After installation and fixing all components as per figure Number 1, 2 and 3 the tank should
be placed in desire space. In this position the tank is empty, when we want to fill it, on-off
switch (25) should be push, and after pushing this, motor-pump (19) (20) will start to boost
the water into the tank. Water enters to the tank through inlet connection pipe (5). When the
water level reach to bottom of tank cover (31), it enters to hole (35) and then anti-overflow
device (38). Now water starts to flow through hole (41), flowing water creates a force on
7
circular rubber seal (42). Due to this force, rubber seal closes to hole (41). In this condition
water pressure, inside the tank will raise quickly. Due to high water pressure, watertight
flexible rubber diaphragm (13) will expand upward and will push to lever (55), which is
situated inside the flexible rubber cover (53) of the circuit breaker (14). When lever (55)
move upward, it push to movable electric point (59) upward, in this condition connection
between it and fix electric point (58) does breaks. Because both electric point (58) and (59)
are connected in series of relay of motor pump, so when liver (55) create distance between
them, the supply of motor-pump does break. In absence of electric Supply, motor and
boosting of water both become stop.
On the other hand when we want to take supply of water tank through connection pipe (7),
the water pressure and level inside the tank become decrease and vacuum occurs. Due to
vacuum the flexible rubber seal (42) moves in their old position and whole (41) become open,
now the atmospheric air enter to the tank through mesh (46) and whole (41). As per need
motor pump can be restart to pushing on-off switch (25). In any rare condition, if pressure
circuit breaker becomes fail, then to avoid the busting of tank, safety seal (62) will destroy
automatically and tank system will safe.
As per need we can restart the motor to push the on-off switch (25). Due to flexibility of the
hose pipe (4) and (10) tank may be move in some quantity during installation and cleaning
without any fracture in components and any other harm. This system can be easily convert
into automatic supply system with placing a pressure transducer in water supply connection
pipe (7) and connecting it with circuit board (27).Circuit (27) product low voltage harmless
DC current. This current flows in reallyand in both electric points (58) and (59), so whole
system becomes electric shock proof.
ADVANTAGE OF THIS INVENTION
1). No component of invent anti-overflow electronic device live in touch of water, so this
system is fully free from electric shock.
2). Problem of the scaling of electrodes will not occur in this tank, because all components
relates to anti-overflow situates outside the tank.
