Specification

Description:BACKGROUND
Field of Invention
[001] Embodiments of the present invention generally relate to a Save Our Soul (SOS) system and particularly to an emergency communication and handling system.
Description of Related Art
[002] In numerous hilly and obscure regions, the general public lacks access to immediate medical assistance and essential supplies. This gap persists despite the presence of Primary Health Centers (PHCs) and medical practitioners in close proximity, within a few kilometers. The challenges arise from the absence of reliable transportation options, the inadequacy of passable roads linking residential pockets, particularly in hilly terrains, to the nearby Primary Health Centers (PHCs).
[003] Furthermore, there is a notable deficiency in reasonably stable electrical communication connectivity, as well as reliable access to electric power necessary for operating communication devices and other medical equipment. The current fleet of ambulances is presently deployed to serve the hilly regions. However, none of these ambulances are equipped to address medical emergencies of individuals requiring prompt care before reaching the Primary Health Center (PHC) or a nearby clinic from specific tribal residential areas situated in hilly regions.
[004] Presently, population in hilly location faces a dearth of wireless services or skyway-based emergency response in these challenging terrains and environmental conditions, which include wildlife habitats. Despite claims by communication service providers of advanced technology and expanded services, including 4th Generation (4G) and higher connectivity, the forest departments are reluctant to allow the establishment of enhanced pathways for human subjects due to the need to protect wildlife in several reserved forest regions inhabited by tribals.
[005] There is thus a need for an improved and advanced emergency communication and handling system that can administer the aforementioned limitations in a more efficient manner.
