, Description:Field of the invention:
The present invention is related generally to the any sector as every sector has employee, and more particularly to employee identity management system by using blockchain technology.
Background of the invention:
Employee identity management is the process of any organization which provides facility such as identification, authentication and authorizing employee to access to organizational applications, systems and networks by associating employee’s right and restrictions for established identities.
Employee identity management manages identities generally, but also it can manage authentication and authorization which results into saving time and money and reducing risk to the business.
There are a system having identity related inventions, which are patented, are listed below.
US patent application US9722790B2 by Armin Ebrahimi discloses Identity management service using a blockchain providing certifying transactions between devices. Logic on a first remote device receives a first transaction number and personal data transmitted from a second remote device. The first transaction number was received from a distributed public database in response to a transmission, from the second remote device, of a signed hash value and a first public key associated with a first private key on the second remote device. The signed hash value was created by signing a hash value with the first private key and the hash value was generated by hashing the personal data with a hashing algorithm on the second remote device. The logic uses the first transaction number to retrieve the signed hash value and the first public key from the distributed public database. The logic hashes the personal data using the hashing algorithm to create a generated hash value and verifies the signed hash value against the generated hash value.
US patent application US9635000B1 by Sead Muftic discloses Blockchain identity management system based on public identities ledger. The invention describes an identity management system (IDMS) based on the concept of peer-to-peer protocols and the public identities ledger. The system manages digital identities, which are digital objects that contain attributes used for the identification of persons and other entities in an IT system and for making identity claims. The identity objects are encoded and cryptographically encapsulated. Identity management protocols include the creation of identities, the validation of their binding to real-world entities, and their secure and reliable storage, protection, distribution, verification, updates, and use. The identities are included in a specially constructed global, distributed, append-only public identities ledger. They are forward- and backward-linked using the mechanism of digital signatures. The linking of objects and their chaining in the ledger is based on and reflect their mutual validation relationships. The identities of individual members are organized in the form of linked structures called the personal identities chains. Identities of groups of users that validated identities of other users in a group are organized in community identities chains. The ledger and its chains support accurate and reliable validation of identities by other members of the system and by application services providers without the assistance of third parties. The ledger designed in this invention may be either permissioned or un permissioned. Permissioned ledgers have special entities, called BIX Security Policy Providers, which validate the binding of digital identities to real-world entities based on the rules of a given security policy. In unpermissioned ledgers, community members mutually validate their identities. The identity management system provides security, privacy, and anonymity for digital identities and satisfies the requirements for decentralized, anonymous identities management systems.
PCT patent application WO2017090041A1 by Adi BEN-ARI discloses A system and method for blockchain smart contract data privacy. System and method for executing cryptographically secure transactions in a network comprising a public ledger, comprising associating a first proposed transaction with a public keys smart contract and associating at least a second transaction including private data and public data in said network with a cryptographically secure transaction.
Though the prior art patent discloses Identity management service using a blockchain providing certifying transactions between devices, Blockchain identity management system based on public identities ledger and A system and method for blockchain smart contract data privacy, they do not give any perfect solution for identity management of an employee.
Blockchain is a distributed ledger, which relates to a ledger which is spread across the network with all peers in the network, and each peer holds a copy of the complete ledge but no one can change or modify any information. Blockchain is a way of keeping records and can be used in almost any product that uses some sort of record keeping or database management.

Detailed description of the invention:
The present invention discloses employee identity management system by using blockchain technology.
Blockchain is like a digital database which is distributed across a network of computers. The records on blockchain are stored in the cryptographic form which protects them from editing and removing. Blockchain can be used in various fields such as financial, insurance, education, manufacturing, logistics. Transparency is the main features of blockchain technology.
Fig.1 illustrates the system for employee identity management by using blockchain technology is comprising of contents;
Employee identity management application –used for entering and showing the data of any employee;
Any electronic computing device which has active internet connection – used for interacting with identity management web application;
Employee database – used for storing all data related to employees; and
Backend server – used for storing database and application
Fig.1 illustrates the system of present invention which includes an electronic computing device with active internet connection is used for interacting with identity management application. The said user enters all required data of new employee to the blockchain application. At the blockchain application, system creates unique hash value for new employee and also unique identity number for new employee. The said hash value and identity number are linked with each other. New data block is created for every new employee which includes all data related to new employee. This data block is attached to the blockchain of company which have details of all their employee in the form of data block. This data block is stored in the database in the cryptographic form. User can see any employee details by entering identity number of employees through an electronic device. Also, every user can see other employees’ information in restricted view.
Fig. 2 illustrates method for employee identity management by using blockchain technology is comprising of the steps are as;
Step 1) A database is created for storing required information about every employee
Step 2) User open the invention application
Step 3) Submitting all required information of new employee by user
Step 4) Granting the rights and authorities to the new employee
Step 5) At backend server, the data is stored in block format and in the cryptographic form
Step 6) Employee data could be seen by entering identity number of employees through an electronic device
There are some advantages of the present invention such as;
The data on Blockchain is immutable, auditable and decentralized so cannot be changed by anyone except authority.
Any employee of company can see the information of any other employee. But no one can change or modify or remove the information of any employee. This is the unique feature of blockchain, that is, immutable and distributed.
Blockchain’s distributed nature enables an implementation method which puts company and employee in the same network. Any employee can easily get information about other employee within a second without wasting time.
It is ease of obtaining duplicate ID proof after losing the original. As all records of employee are safe and reliable, it is very easy and reliable for creating duplicate ID proof of employee.
It allows easy access to application no matter where employee is.
It simplifies auditing reporting task for employee records.
The present invention can be better understood with the help of examples.
Example 1:
According to the present invention, user X want to enter details of employee K in the system. X open the application and enter all required details of an employee K and also assign rights and authorities to K and submit data to the application. At backend server, data is saved in the form of data block and stored in cryptographic form for security reason. User X can check the records of K for unique identity number and other details through an electronic device.
Example 2:
According to the present invention, user A want to enter details of employee P in the system. User A open the application and enter all required details of an employee P and also assign rights and authorities to P and submit data to the application. At backend server, data is saved in the form of data block and stored in cryptographic form for security reason. User A can check the records of P for unique identity number and other details through an electronic device. After some period, employee P id proof is lost and P request for new employee id proof. User A can check record of P in application and issue a duplicate Id proof to P.
It should be kept in mind that the described embodiment(s) is only presented by way of example and should not be construed as limiting the inventive concept to any particular hardware and software configuration.
The present invention is not limited to components, which is mentioned in the description. Based on the same concept, employee identity management can be built. Those who are familiar in the art will understand that a number of variations may be made in the disclosed embodiments, all without departing from the scope of the invention, which is defined solely by the appended claims.
