Energy Saver
Abstract:
As the technology advancements are taking place in all the areas, in luminaries very high intensity devices have been invented and are in use. Though the international, British and BIS standards have clearly specified luminance levels at various places the local administrators are opting for high illuminated lamps in their areas and thus the power consumption is increasing for this purpose very rapidly. I being the inventor of various devices using sensors, Micro Controllers (etc.) motivated my company to attempt Energy Savers and after trying with various Techniques like "CHOPPING with MOSFETS", "IGBTS", "Thyristors", and "Auto Transformer" and "Inductive control by using magnetizing circuit" and have found "Inductive Control" is the versatile and economical for L.T. Loads applications and the IGBTS and MOSFETS are suitable for H.T. Loads and Auto Transformer is suitable only for Resistive loads.
In all the Techniques power factor, Wave form, Surges, High Voltage, Short circuits Transients and Noises have been taken care and thus the invention is unique and comprehensive.
With the latest Modification, Data Acquisition, Monitoring and Controlling of a large number of Remote Terminal Units is achieved.

ABSTRACT
As the technology advancements are taking place in all the areas, in luminaries very high intensity devices have been invented and are in use. Though the international, British and BIS standards have clearly specified luminance levels at various places the local administrators are opting for high illuminated lamps in their areas and thus the power consumption is increasing for this purpose very rapidly. I being the inventor of various devices using sensors, Micro Controllers (etc.) motivated my company to attempt Energy Savers and after trying with various Techniques like 'CHOPPING with IVIOSFETS", "IGBTS", Thyristors", and "Auto Transformer" and "Inductive control by using magnetizing circuit" and have found "Inductive Control" is the versatile and economical for L.T. Loads applications and the IGBTS and MOSFETS are suitable for H.T. Loads and Auto Transformer is suitable only for Resistive loads.
In all the Techniques power factor. Wave form. Surges, High Voltage, Short circuits Transients and Noises have been taken care and thus the invention is unique and comprehensive.
With the latest Modification, Data Acquisition, Monitoring and Controlling of a large number of Remote Terminal Units is achieved.

3) PRIOR ART
"Energy Saver" applied for patents on 18/03/2002, Application No. 912/MAS/02 by the present Applicant.
4) IDEA FOR MODIFYING THE EXISTING PRODUCT:-
The objective of enhancing the Technical Specifications and features of the "Energy Saver" applied for patents on 18/03/2002, A.No. 912/MAS/02 is keeping in view of the over all Technical advancements and Global changed priorities for energy, as the restriction of emissions and protecting the climate.
For confining the above manual verifications and conventional metering systems were the sources and due to which delay and the reliability of information were not dependable to the tune of 100%. To over come the same and for speedy implementation of energy saving practices the present addition of modifications in basic design have been felt necessary and are developed accordingly.
5) BACKGROUND AND OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION
Item’s Energy Saver is developed for conserving the Electrical Power in Public Lighting - there by prevents light pollution and environmental pollution by lesser usage of Electrical Energy. In view of continuous increasing trend of traffic, the lighting requirement is also increasing worldwide and at present It is estimated 17% in India and much more in advanced countries. Apart from the increase in energy consumption the lights focused on private properties rob the right of privacy and is hazardous to health.
The distribution companies are concentrating more highly on improving the quality of the power supply and on maintaining of power quality by balancing the peak hours and idle hour's requirements. For smooth functioning the D.C. need an auditing and correcting mechanism. At present during midnights in the present distribution system light levels increases at least by 20%, as there is definite increase in line voltages. Where as during that time the traffic is also thin.
6) SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
The Item’s Energy Saver is designed to reduce the input voltages during low traffic moments and to restrict the higher voltages during idle hours. The benefits experienced by virtue of Energy savings, are increase in bulbs life, facility for report generation, increased safety to manpower engaged in manual operation and contributes towards the reduction of light pollution. (The table below shows the environmental benefits if energy is saved).
STATEMENT SHOWING REDUCTION OF POLLUTION EFFECTS IF 1MW POWER IS SAVED IN A YEAR:
• Sculpture Dioxide - 2.34 Kgs/Year
• Nitric Oxide -- 0.864 Kgs/Year
• Carbon Dioxide - 350 Kgs/Year (Or)
• Reforestation - 0.873 Acres
Extract of Seminar conducted on Energy Conservation jointly by IREDA and State Bank of India in the year - 2003 - 04
The main switching process done by multi sensors, assures 100% reliability and dependability of the system. The Hi-voltage and short circuit protections ensure the longer performances of the switchgears, chokes and costly bulbs, thus contributes to economical improvement of the Civic Bodies / Organizations / Corporate Sector / Commercial Complexes / Residential Flats / Townships / Public Parks (etc).
7) ENERGY SAVER SPECIFICATIONS:
I .Input voltage :(170-250)V
2.0utput voltage :(20-300)Vic with soft reduction and increment
S.Maximum load .in 3
