Engine Component With Film Cooling

Abstract: An engine component can comprise a cooled surface [122] adjacent to a cooling flow [C] and a hot surface [124] adjacent to a hot flow of fluid [H]. The component can comprise a wall [120] separating the hot [H] and cooling flows [C], defining the cooled surface [122] and the hot surface [124], and having a plurality of film holes [150] disposed in the wall [120]. At least one turbulator [130] and at least one film hole inlet [152] can be disposed on the cooled surface [122]. The turbulator [130] and the inlet [152] can be arranged to provide a steady flow of cooling fluid [C] to the film hole [150]. One arrangement can comprise spacing the film hole inlet [152] at least two turbulator heights [136] from the turbulator [130]. FIG.1
