Field of the invention
The present invention relates to machine engines.
In general and particularly the present invention relates to engine protection
systems and more particularly engine shut off system and method thereof.
Background of the invention
Typically, operating fuel/diesel fuel· works as a lubricant for an engine/internal
combustion(IC) engine of machine/vehicle/automobile. Typically, in a
machine/vehicle/automobile an engine/internal combustion (IC) engine running
with inadequate amount of fuel cannot provide sufficient lubrication to moving
parts In machine/vehicle/automobile. Consequently,
machine/vehicle/automobile parts can suffer wear and tear. Thus, life of
engine/internal combustion (IC) engine may be reduced.
Thus, it has been long felt need to develop a system which eliminates
disadvantages mentioned above and system that shuts off an engine/internal
ccmbustion (IC) engine of a machine/vehicle/automobile when fuel indicator
indicates a low fuel level/supply.
In known US patent no. 4641722 , does not disclose, "a low fuel level switch
configured for attaining a closed switch configuration when fuel level falls
below a threshold; a solenoid coupled to said switch for de-energizing when
2
fuel level is low; and an engine shut off relay configured to energize and switch
off said solenoid to completely shut-down said engine".
The invention disclosed in known US patent no. 4641722 does not disclose, '"a
solenoid coupled to said switch for de-energizing when fuel level is low; and an
engine shut off relay configured to energize and switch off said solenoid to
completely shut-down said engine".
In known US Patent No. 4641722, does not disclose, '"a solenoid coupled to said
switch for de-energizing when fuel. level is low; and an engine shut off relay
configured to energize and switch off said solenoid to completely shut-down
said engine".
It has therefore a long felt need to develop engine shut off system and method
thereof which avoids disadvantages mentioned above and is simple to develop
a engine that shut off system and is cheaper to develop the said engine and
simple to make the same.
According to the present invention there is provided engine shut off system and
method thereof comprising an engine shut off/shut down/closing/turn
down/switch off system (100) is configured to shut down the Ie engine (105)
when fuel level is low, engine shut down condition is achieved by de-energizing
the. Engine Shut-Off Solenoid/coil/electromagnet/transducer (110) when the fuel
3
levelltlow is low, the low level of fuel is sensed by a Fuel Level Sensor
Installed in the fuel tank, the fuel level falls below a particular level, the
contacts of the low fuel switch (115) get closed, energizing the engine shut off
relay/electrical switch (120) thereby switching off the ESOS
Solenoid/coil/electromagnet/transducer (110) and shutting the engine off after a
fixed amount of time; a warning of light emitting diode (LED) light and
Buzzer/sound/noise generator is generated by the timer relay/electrical switch
(125) for a fixed amount oftime before the engine is shut-off.
The systems and methods of the present invention provides numerous
advantages and cost savings.
We shall now describe the invention with reference to accompanying drawings
which are given by way of illustration but does not restrict the scope of present
invention.
Brief description of accompanying drawings
Figure 1 relates to an engine shut-off relay in accordance with an embodiment
of the present invention.
Detailed description of the accompanying drawings
The present disclosure relates to a protection system for internal combustion
(Ie) engines running on inadequate amount of fuel, wherein the present
4
disclosure relates to protection of diesel powered mechanical internal
combustion (IC) engines further empowering various agricultural and
construction equipment while running on inadequate amount of fuel.
Embodiments including the IC engine are technically satisfactory and
economically advantageous.
Figure 1 illustrates an Engine Shut Off/Shut down/Closing/Turn down/Switch
off system 100 that is configured to shut down the IC engine 105 when fuel
level is low. Engine shut down condition is achieved by de-energizing the
Engine Shut-Off Solenoid/coil/electromagnet/transducer 110 when the fuel
level/flow is low. The low levelQffu~1 is sensed by a Fuel Level Sensor
Installed in the fuel tank. When the, fuel level falls below a particular level, the
contacts of the low fuel switch 115 get closed, energizing the engine shut off
relay/electrical switch 120 thereby switching off the ESOS
Solenoid/coil/electromagnet/transducer 110 and shutting the engine off after a
fixed amount of time.
A warnmg of light emitting diode (LED) light and Buzzer/sound/noise
generator is generated by the timer relay/electrical switch 125 for a fixed
amount of time before the engine is shut-off.
