Abstract: This tool is used to provide a simplest intermediary platform for pylon interface check of aircraft to confirm the serviceability of Ejection Release Units (ERU) and functionality of aircraft armament system. This tool also enables to capture the test parameter of aircraft armament system via pylon interface test set. The tool circuit is designed simpler in conjunction with aircraft logic and assembled for a handy use.

2) Field of invention
This invention is related to the serviceability and functionality of Ejection Release Units of Pylons of fighter Aircraft. This is designed to carry out functional tests/performance tests of Ejection Release Units of aircraft pylons of fighter aircraft.
3) Use of invention
The Invention finds its applicability in testing Ejection Release Units (ERUs) after mounting the ERUs inside the pylons on the aircraft in as is condition.
4) Prior art
Earlier to the invention the pylon interface checks were carried out with help of installing dummy cartridges and drawing out a wire from the cartridges supply point end of ERUs.
5) Draw backs of prior art
' With the earlier tools were not handy to operate and on many occasions, because of it's improper
seating in the ERU housing either the fuse in the Armament Main Unit (AMU) was blowing off or the Pylon Module in AMU getting was corrupted. Drawing out a wire from inside the pylon housing ERU supply point end along with the dummy cartridges was not at all an authorized procedure. Also it was difficult to do functional checks because of breach points were mentioned as check point in test procedure are falling in blind area. A proper standard tool to carry out such operation was not available.
6) Comparison between prior art and present invention
Earlier(prior art) no specific tool was available. It was carried out by crude method of drawing wires from inside and using dummy cartridges. Testing the pylons by the earlier method was inconvenient procedure and a non standard practice. It had lots of limitation as mentioned in Para (5) above.
This ERU Adaptor Tool (present invention) addresses the proper seating in place of dummy cartridges and eliminated the need of drawing a wire from anywhere. The present invented tool is easy and safe to use and provide a very neat operation. This tool has an electrical mechanism contained in a housing body
