, Description:FIELD OF THE INVENTION:
The present invention relates to event management. The present invention more particularly relates to an event management system using internet of things (IOT).
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION:
Machine-to-machine (M2M) technologies allow devices to communicate more directly with each other using wired and wireless communications systems. M2M technologies enable further realization of the Internet of Things (IoT), a system of uniquely identifiable objects and virtual representations of such objects that communicate over a network, such as the Internet. IoT may facilitate communication with even mundane everyday objects, such as products in a grocery store, and thereby reduce costs and waste by improving knowledge of such objects. For example, stores may maintain very precise inventory data by being able to communicate with, or obtain data from, objects that may be in inventory or may have been sold. As will be appreciated, the IoT has the potential to include many millions of devices. Relating data from the devices in the IoT to meaningful events is an important aspect of increasing the functionality of IoT systems.
So there is a need for such a system which is able to collect and exchange data using embedded sensors. The present invention helps in tracking attendees to check-in and in cashless payments. The present invention helps event managers and planners to make informed decisions and in automating attendee management, intelligent lighting, keeping the guests safe and comfortable.
OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:
The main object of the present invention is to help in check into the event and offer precise mapping and direction within the event premises.
Another object of the present invention is to allow event staff to view visitors’ data from the wearable devices, such as wristbands and smart lanyards.
Yet another object of the present invention is to help event managers and planners perfectly pitch tailored message to the attendees based on their interests.
Other objects and benefits of the present invention will be more apparent from the following description, which is not intended to bind the scope of the present invention.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
Accordingly, an event management system using Internet of things (IOT) is disclosed. The present invention is an event management system using Internet of things comprising of; Providing automated online registrations through GPS in the smart phone/ WIFI connected to the website; Providing smart catering for the event; Providing enhanced security for the event through monitoring system fitted in the website; collecting data from any device by allowing them to collect useful information and to create a personalized experience for the audience; and providing smart parking to the attendees for detecting available parking spaces.
DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS:
Fig 1 is the flowchart for an event management system using IOT.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION WITH RESPECT TO DRAWINGS:
The present invention is an event management system using Internet of things (IOT). In present invention, the present system connect with attendees in order to access the events schedule seamlessly. The present invention helps in check into the event and offer precise mapping and direction within the event premises. The present invention allows event staff to view visitors’ data from the wearable devices, such as wristbands and smart lanyards. It helps them to collaborate and pitch them in a more personalized way. The system of the present invention help event managers and planners perfectly pitch tailored message to the attendees based on their interests.
The present invention is useful in
• receive GPS directions
• receive directional indoor way-finding through a convention facility/exhibition hall
• open guestroom doors
• make e-wallet transactions that are faster and more secure than credit cards
• receive conference alerts
• exchange contact/lead retrieval information
• use as admission tickets
• make audience polling responses
• enable automated check-in for registration/meeting rooms
Smartphone features like GPS, WIFI can help event managers to automate the registration process of attendees at events without making a mess. The present invention enable attendees to use their smartphones to collaborate with the onsite registration software to check in when they are near event venue. The present invention helps event managers to save time and utilize automated system instead of the workforce for onsite registrations. They can be directed to collect their event badges through a notification on mobile phone.
It helps the attendees for interactive posters and allow the exhibitors to extract the list of potential customers who are interested in the product offering. The real advantage of using IoT in events is to collect data from any device and it allows them to collect useful information, allowing them to create a personalized experience for the audience. Whenever one leaves the event venue, user receive a notification that acknowledges user for visiting the event and a link to an event survey. At the same time, an email is sent to user with the list of exhibitors that user visited and information about their service offerings.
The present invention allows attendees to connect to the WIFI into the event badges and allow event managers to generate a heat map which will keep track of the attendees’ location to know the part of the event engages them the most. Event managers start improving the way they organize and arrange a venue. They can also analyze the most visited areas where attendees were engaged the most and devise new strategies to market the product in a better way. The present invention helps security and safety of attendees. The present invention helps in welcoming of the guest and keeps the unwanted visitors away. The present invention helps in management of the air conditioners, lighting, and heating appliances wirelessly in order to meet with the rapid changes in the venue.
In one embodiment, Automated Online Registrations are provided. Manual registration of the attendees at the events is one of the biggest hassles in event management. Smartphones are already equipped with technologies like BLE, NFC, GPS, Wi-Fi, and more. Theses connectivity can be used by event managers to automate the registration process for attendees at the event. Attendees can check-in with the online registration portal when they are around the venue by enabling smartphone technologies in their smartphones. An automated notification can be sent to the visitor’s phone, directing them to proceed towards the collection booth to collect their event badges. Hence, it cuts down waiting time and workforce costs required to manage onsite registrations.
In another embodiment, the system of the present invention provides Smart Catering. It’s challenging to keep track of what most of the attendees will prefer to eat. However, everyday objects such as coffee makers and other food making equipment can be connected with IoT. With the help of the log consumption of edibles at the previous events, event managers can accurately predict the estimation of various eatables that saves money as well as minimizes food wastage.
In another embodiment, the system of the present invention provides intelligent lighting. IoT can control the lighting of the entire event in a much more cost-effective and efficient manner. With the adoption of smart lighting, event managers can monitor and manage the lighting systems of the whole game anytime, anywhere just at a click from their mobile phones.
In another embodiment, the system of the present invention provides enhanced security through smart buildings. Internet of things has transformed simple buildings into “Smart Buildings” that comprises of doors & windows, air conditioners, and more that can be monitored and controlled centrally. With Smart buildings, user can control doors to either stay open to welcome your guests (visitors) or get locked to keep the unwelcome guests out of the premises by integrating video surveillance systems.
In another embodiment, an event management system using Internet of things comprising of;
a. Providing automated online registrations through GPS in the smart phone/ WIFI connected to the website;
b. Providing smart catering for the event;
c. Providing enhanced security for the event through monitoring system fitted in the website;
d. collecting data from any device by allowing them to collect useful information and to create a personalized experience for the audience; and
e. providing smart parking to the attendees for detecting available parking spaces.
Discovering a free parking lot can be an issue at large event venues. In another embodiment, smart parking is provided through using system of the present invention. The present invention provides smart parking solutions through which attendees can detect available parking spaces using their smartphones. The present invention allow cities to improve parking services, optimize operations, cut costs, increase compliance by better parking enforcement, and at the same time provide a better service to the drivers and city's residents. This is a single web-based solution that includes a comprehensive set of tools to let drivers find free parking lots and pay parking fees using an application on their smartphones.
