, Description:
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to spinning machinery technical field, more particularly to an external holding square ring device for fly frame roving.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The external holding square ring device is a vital component used in roving flyer to hold the legs for twist the fibre assembly to wind it on the bobbin. This holding square ring device inserts into the PDC legs consists of two parts of flyer for reducing the expansion for one real twist per rotation. This square ring device has a multiple grooves and it is used to arrest the finger arrangement. The fibre strand is allowed to pass through a highly polished stainless-steel tube and wrapped over the Presser Finger to provide enough winding tension. Subsequently the twisted roving is passed through the Presser Paddle eyelet and wound on the bobbin.
Initially this type of holding square ring device are manufactured using steel material. In order to increase the speed of the flyer without expanding the legs, outer ring has been used to construct and fix into the outer legs and it has been used for both Gravity Die-Casting (GDC) flyer and PDC flyer and holding the finger arrangement by using multi grooves. Also, this device is having two open segment (180 degree) to guide the legs and fix the both segment by screwing method. The location of the ring on the legs are calculated and decided based on the load factor and centrifugal force. Hence the device is constructed with a highly polished metal/ aluminum plates and placed outside a leg.
As this outer ring is manufactured under machine cutting and machining process. It has been understood that the shortcoming is mainly associated with existing GDC/PDC flyer is the expanding the legs during higher running speed of the flyer.
In addition to that, the flyer should be running always in lower speed and it causes the less productivity.
Reference is made to CN207143407U. This patent document discloses an annular element (6) which connects the first flier arm (3) and the second flier arm (4). The arrangement of the ring member 6 connecting the first flyer arm 3 and the second flyer arm 4 and the balance weight 42 greatly improves the speed of the roving flyer wing during high speed rotation.
Further reference has been made to CN2627018Y. This patent document discloses an annular connecting ring 8-1 is fixed with screws at the lower ends of the two arms of the flyer body 8. Since the lower ends of the two arms of the flyer body are connected by a ring-shaped connecting ring, the deformation of the outer tension is small during high-speed rotation, and the interference with the work of adjacent flyers caused by the deformation of the outer tension is avoided.
Another reference is made to US2919535A. This patent discloses the use of a reinforcing member 39. With the addition of the reinforcing members 39, the ballooning of the legs is reduced to an absolute minimum and the flyer 11 may be taken to much higher speeds than heretofore possible without reducing the quality of the roving. Furthermore, the reinforcing members permit the production of higher quality roving than that obtained at presently employed flyer speeds as a result of their ability to further reduce ballooning when lower flyer speeds are employed.
Therefore, there remain a need to provide a modular external holding square ring device to increase the running speed of the flyer along with the holding of finger arrangement and to overcome the expansion of the legs in lower speed which has happened in the existing arrangement.

Present invention relates to a modular holding ring for twisting and winding device with circular shape metal part suitable to hold both legs to maintain the parallel geometric property. This novel design will help to increase the running speed of the flyer because of the holding square ring device provided outside the legs. Ultimately this increase in speed will give significant increase in productivity since the flyer rotates at most of the expansion reduction happened at the legs.
One of the embodiment of present invention discloses an external holding square ring for twisting and winding device; wherein said twisting and winding device comprises two casted parts of substantially equal halves provided with inner ribs and legs and assembled with each other by means of screw and/ or rivet; a tube assembly comprising of a tube, shank and locating bush mounted inside said casted bodies intact; a finger assembly comprising of a pressure finger with hinge pins and bushes assembled on the hinges provided in one of said casted parts; characterized in that in the inner circumference of said external square holding ring has curvatures such a way to grip both legs of casted bodies and provides better fitment to maintain parallel geometry and stability during rotation of said twisting and winding device.
In a preferred embodiment, said ring is made of metals selected from aluminum, steel and like.
In a preferred embodiment, said holding ring is placed outside of the casting bodies and kept intact using screws and rivets.
In a further embodiment, the holding outer ring device is mounted with two place of legs using screw in order to maintain the effective gap between the two adjutant flyers and made it as a complete twisting and winding device assembly.
This holding square ring device gives the following advantages,
1. Maintaining the Legs parallelism
It is hard to maintain the exact parallelism of both legs and it is positioning by using screwing method. It is observed that the both legs are maintaining the straightness during running of the machines with high speed (More than 1500 rpm). This is one of a major advantage for imbalance of the legs and further it requires more efforts in balancing process.
2. Increase the speed of the roving machine
Holding square ring device is an integrated entity of this flyer after assembly. This holding device can be dismantled individually by screwing mechanism. Therefore, the expansion of the legs is controlled during running of the flyer even it is in high-speed running (more than 1500 rpm).
3. Heavy
As these devices had been designed for both PDC and GDC flyers. Hollow space and cavity is provided found inside the holding ring to suit for better alignment and fitment.
The modular construction design allows to increase the running speed of the flyer and it overcome the expansion of the legs in lower speed which is happened in the existing arrangement.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made in the present invention without departing from scope of the invention. It is intended that present invention covers such modifications and variations disclosed in the description.
