External Recognition System

Abstract: The problem of the present invention is to provide an external recognition system capable of accurately detecting unevenness of a road surface in front of a vehicle. The external recognition system according to the present invention recognizes the three-dimensional shape of a road surface on which a subject vehicle C2 is traveling, and the subject vehicle C2 comprises: an image processing unit that executes image processing of detecting a road surface structure from an image captured by an in-vehicle camera; a vehicle communication unit that receives position information of the road surface structure ST from an external server NS; and an image processing method determination unit that changes the image processing method of the image processing unit on the basis of the position information of the road surface structure ST received by the vehicle communication unit.
