DESC:FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to an assembly of ceiling fan and false ceiling panel. It also relates to resisting the insects and dust into the hole in the false ceiling. It enables servicing/repair of fan without needing to uninstall the ceiling product first or without damaging/altering the portion of ceiling décor product close to fan rod- by providing thorough out sufficient passage between fan rod and the ceiling product.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
Gypsum or POP (Plaster of Paris) is done manually at site or other material modular ceiling panels is assembled at site. They need to either fill the gap next rod fan rod with putty or POP or leave little gap around the fan rod neck which leads to penetrate the insect and dust to the ceiling. In case any servicing is required to fan’s connection or access to the junction box in ceiling at fan point is required for any electrical work need, technician need to break some portion of POP ceiling next to fan rod so that he can insert his hand to operate. After work this damaged part need to be refinished with POP/putty work which is very difficult, time consuming and messy work.
There is a 99 % chance of dust and insect’s penetration in the ceiling décor product at whose centre the fan has been fitted. In case of a gypsum/pop (plaster of Paris) false ceiling, if a fan is placed somewhere within the false ceiling, the exact portion next to the ceiling fan rod has to be filled with pop/putty to ensure zero penetration of insects or dust inside false ceiling, but here, since fan in working position vibrates and so its rod, creates cracks/gaps at its joint with pop false ceiling. Generally people intentionally leave some gap near the fan rod to avoid such crack/damage. In case of ceiling panel light, there is no such product which has centre fan due to one reason– any fine gap near the fan rod neck will enable insects to penetrate inside the product body, around the light bulb source which is a big problem.
For resisting the insects in the ceiling hole, a canopy hole cover assembly is used for a ceiling fan comprising in combination a ceiling fan hangar bracket, a down rod for suspending the ceiling fan from the ceiling fan hangar bracket, a canopy having a mounting hole, an annular plate, and means for mounting said annular plate relative to the mounting hole to cover the mounting hole.
When there is a ceiling décor light which build using CNC or laser cut or wooden or metal or other sheet material with back lighting and plastic sheet over it, people who put a ceiling fan within its body, try to seal the portion around the fan rod neck. Even if they seal it somehow after few months there will be some crack or gap that allow insects to penetrate inside the product body to reach the inner light source, which becomes a maintenance problem. Once such ceiling décor product is installed and finished at site and fan is installed, later on if there be any issue with the fan’s working, electrician need to open the portion near this fan rod, to see, check and insert hand for accessing the wire joints problem (which lies in the part with in this ceiling product, where the neck of the fan rod ends on top side). There is need to open the ceiling décor products components one by one (first fan motor with blade assembly is taken out then ceiling décor parts to be taken out) in order to rectify the issue.
Another problem is to remove the ceiling panel product first in order to take off the fan with its rod or incase of any repair / connectivity issue at the neck of fan rod where it touches the ceiling (this portion gets hidden in false ceiling). When it’s a gypsum/pop false ceiling then one need to break the nearby area of fan rod neck to give enough space to see, check and insert hand for any servicing and repair related to fan functioning.
In another solution, a ceiling fan is suspended from a mounting bracket by a down rod and a canopy is provided for concealing the mounting bracket. The canopy has a lower end with apertures for mounting the ceiling fan directly to the canopy in alternative mounting configurations. A cover is provided for concealing the apertures in the canopy. The cover has a collar which extends through a down rod opening in the canopy, and has a plurality of protuberances which secure the cover to the lower end of the canopy in a snap engagement. A lip portion upwardly extends from the cover to provide a spacer for locating the protuberances adjacent to an upper side of the lower end of the canopy.
The existing systems do not provide designing structures. In addition, the existing systems don’t protect ceiling from insects and dust. Further, the existing systems provide hole in the ceiling when fan is taken off from the ceiling then that hole creates many problems. Therefore, there exists a need to have a better solution for protecting the ceiling from the insects and dust.

Embodiments of the present invention will be described below in detail with reference to the accompanying drawings.
The present invention generally relates to an assembly of ceiling fan and false ceiling panel. It also relates to resisting the insects and dust into the hole in the false ceiling.
Figure 1 shows the component of the assembly of ceiling fan provision. Figure 1a shows components of assembly of the fan provision without fan and figure 1b shows components of assembly of the fan provision with fan. Fan provision module is used to provide passage for fan rod 302, keeping ceiling panel product body sealed. In figure 1b, ceiling has one hole for hanging the ceiling fan. The first step is to fix the fan rod 302 to the ceiling by bush pin clamp. There are some holes present in the fan rod 302 for the wire connectivity. After fixing the fan rod 302, base cap 306 (Part A) of fan provision is fixed. The base cap 306 is first fixed to ceiling panel product when later is fixed altogether to the ceiling. The diameter of the base cap 306 may be greater than the standard diameter of hole/junction box in the ceiling at fan position point (sufficient space for a technician to insert hand for servicing) . There is cut-out in the base cap 306 of fan provision. The next part of fan provision is intermediate neck profile 312 (Part B1). Part B1 maintains the gap between false ceiling lower panel (ceiling panel product’s lower layer) and the top layer of the base module 308 upside. There are electrical connectors present on the side of intermediate neck profile 312 for wire connectivity. There may be simple holes as passage for the connecting wires instead of electrical connectors. The diameter of intermediate neck profile 312 is similar/ equal to the diameter of the cut-out of base cap 306. Base cap 306 and intermediate neck profile 312 are the inner part of fan provision and this inner part gets covered by lower layer (sheet) of false ceiling panel 304. Important note here is that the base module 308 of ceiling panel product, Part A and PartB1, all these three can be developed as single unit instead of 3 different entities. Similarly, Part A and base module 308 of ceiling panel product can be a single entity which later joins to Part B. The lower sheet also has almost same diameter hole and this sheet gets fixed to the intermediate neck of fan provision. The next component of the fan provision is lower sheet holder 314 (Part C). Part C takes up the lower sheet (which has a cutout in it for fan rod 302 passage) and fix to B1. The function of lower sheet holder 314 is to hold the lower sheet leaving the product sealed. There is cut out in the lower sheet holder 314 that exactly same of the previous holes. Important note here is that Part C can be of different shape and its locking mechanism with Part B is also can be different as with help of screws, bolts, expandable pins, clamps etc. The fifth component of the fan provision is neck cap 316 (Part D) of ceiling fan. Role of D is to hide the gap around the fan rod neck, for aesthetic aspects. neck cap 316 covers all previous hole of the fan provision module. Neck cap 316 has one small hole at centre for fan rod 302 passage. After fixing neck cap 316 of fan, ceiling fan gets attached to the fan rod 302 and joins the connection of wire provided for fan power supply. Lower sheet holder 314 and neck cap 316 are the outer part of the fan provision which remains outside false ceiling panel product 304. The material of the component of fan provision can be PVC (poly vinyl chloride) sheet, wax, frp, metal, alloy, plastic etc.
Figure 1a shows the components of fan provision without fan. There is only wire coming out from the ceiling means to say that there is no fan rod 302. The first component of the fan provision for this case is base cap 306 (Part A). base module 308 has base cap 306 that fixes to the ceiling. There is cutout present in the base module 308. The diameter of cutout is exactly equal to the diameter of hole that present in the ceiling. The diameter of base cap 306 is greater than the diameter of cutout. The second component of fan provision is base cap cover (Part B2). Base cap cover is used for covering the hole and preventing the ceiling product from the insects and dust. There are electrical connectors present on the side of the base cap cover for wire connectivity. Instead of electrical connectors for wire, there may be simple passage left like holes to pass wires. After covering the hole, design sheet is placed to the base cap cover which completely hides the hole and component of the fan provision. For this case, base module 308 and base cap cover are the inner part of the fan provision.
In an embodiment, the points of wire in base cover cap can be used for different purposes also like for Led lights or for any power source.
In an embodiment, the overall structure and shape of different components of this fan provision module need not be cylindrical i.e. it can be cubical, triangular etc. Important feature here is that it will be like a tunnel which seals the ceiling panel product even if there is a hollow passage for fan rod 302.
Figure 2 shows complete assembly of ceiling fan provision. Figure 2a shows the assembly with fan and figure 2b shows the assembly without fan. Fan provision module is used to provide passage for fan rod 302, keeping product body sealed. In figure 2a, fan provision has many components i.e. fan rod 302, base module 308, intermediate neck profile 312, lower sheet with cut out, lower sheet holder 314, neck cap 316 for fan rod 302 and fan. In figure 2b, fan provision has three components i.e. base module 308, base cover cap and lower sheet without cutout. Fan-provision module facilitates broad passage of fan rod 302 keeping the ceiling light product isolated : insect free/ no insect penetration. Servicing of the fan becomes very easy as one don’t need to open/dismantle the ceiling light/décor product in order to rectify the issue in fan’s connectivity. This module also holds the acrylic/plastic sheet of the light panel product as at the area of passage of ceiling fan rod 302 there is a cutout in the plastic sheet, hence a good hold it needs at the cutout portion, avoiding any bent, crack or any damage over time.
Fan provision module is used to provide passage for fan rod 302, keeping false ceiling panel product body sealed. Fan provision includes of five components: base cap, intermediate neck profile 312, base cap cover, lower sheet holder 314 and neck cap 316 for fan. When there is no fan provision required then base cap 306 and base cap cover is used for closing the cutout gap in main frame. When there is fan provision required then base cap, intermediate neck profile 312, lower sheet holder 314 and neck cap 316 are used. Base cap and Intermediate neck profile 312 can become single entity or can remain separate entities. Intermediate neck profile 312 maintains the gap between lower sheet and the top layer of the base module upside. Lower sheet holder 314 takes up the plastic sheet (which has a cutout in it for fan rod passage) and fix to intermediate neck cap 316. Role of neck cap 316 for fan is to hide the gap around the fan rod neck, for aesthetic aspects.
Figure 3 shows a block diagram of a system for fan provision module for ceiling décor in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention. The system 300 includes a fan rod 302 fixed to a ceiling through a bush pin clamp to hang a ceiling fan. The fan rod 302 is passed through a circular cutout fabricated to a center of axis of a false ceiling 304.
In an embodiment, a base cap 306 with circular cutout is co-centrically enforced to circular cutout of a base module 308 of the false ceiling 304. In an embodiment, a neck cap 316 is mounted on the design sheet holder 314 for covering circular cutout of the design sheet holder 314 around fan rod neck, for aesthetic aspects, wherein the neck cap 316 is having a small hole at central axis for passing the fan rod 302.
In an embodiment, diameter of the base cap 306 is greater than standard diameter of hole/junction box of ceiling at fan position point to provide sufficient space for a technician to insert hand for servicing.
In an embodiment, the intermediate neck profile 312 consist electrical connectors present on side of intermediate neck profile 312 for wire connectivity and simple holes as passage for connecting wires instead of electrical connectors.
In an embodiment, diameter of intermediate neck profile 312 and sheet holder 314 is similar/ equal to diameter of cutout of base cap 306.
In an embodiment, one of the materials is selected for components of the fan provision from the group of materials including PVC (poly vinyl chloride) sheet, wax, frp, metal, alloy, and plastic.
Figure 4 shows a flow chart of a method for fan provision module for ceiling décor in accordance with the embodiment of the present invention. At step 402, the method 400 includes fixing a fan rod 302 to a ceiling through a bush pin clamp to hang a ceiling fan. The fan rod 302 is passed through a circular cutout fabricated to a center of axis of a false ceiling 304.
At step 404, the method 400 includes enforcing a base cap 306 co-centrically to circular cutout of a base module 308 of the false ceiling 304. At step 406, the method 400 includes positioning a cylindrical intermediate neck profile 312 in between the base module 308 and a face panel 310 to maintains gap between the base module 308 and the face panel 310 of the false ceiling lower.
