Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention relates to this Film Traction Module (FTM) used in
Electronic display system. It provides a colored topographical map display annotated
with suitable navigation parameters like Aircraft tracking, present position, destination
position, alphanumeric readouts of time to go, distance to go, heading altitude etc.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
During the testing of Electronic display system following defects are frequently
observed in FTM test equipment
a) Film leader broken at the ends.
b) Misalignment of film.
c) Film leader is coming out of the spool.
d) Hunting of the film.
The above said problems are mainly due to the variations in setting the null
position of the resolver.
The reliability of electronics assemblies exposed to severe working environments
has been tested. It is to provide a facility to facilitate the null setting of the X- resolver and
provide perfect alignment of the reference pulse with available input pulse.
FTM module contains the three-servo mechanism (X, Y, θ) which position the film,
the optical system and the film gate mechanism. The x mechanism consist of the along
film drive components, the film spools, the position sensing sprocket and the tree speed
resolver train. This is mounted within the Y mechanism, which moves traversely with
respect to the film with its own motor and position sensing resolver along a set of guide
rails. The rails are mounted on a large gear driven by a fixed motor and with its position
sensing resolver forming the θ mechanism connectors to the X, Y mechanism are via a
reliable and compact assembly called slip ring.
SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of present invention is to provide FTM test
equipment that facilitates effective testing of the vehicle system.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention is to provide compact test
equipment.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide an
apparatus that facilitate to null setting of the X- resolver.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide an output,
which is directly fed to the unit under test without any change in technical parameters.
Annexure‐II
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a perfect
alignment of the reference pulse with available input pulse.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, it can be used in other
equipments, where such type alignment of the output pulse with reference pulse is
required without any phase shift.
Briefly an advantage of the present invention is capable to permanently reduce
the misalignment of film in FTM and it is also reduced hunting of the film.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
The features and advantages of the present invention will become more apparent
and descriptive in the description when considered together with figures presented:
Fig. 1 is a block diagram of FTM test set
Fig. 2 is a front view of the FTM test set
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring to Fig. 1 & 2 the present invention is a FTM test set.
FTM test equipment is designed to support to test system to provide a perfect
alignment of the reference pulse with available input pulse.
Fig. 1 shows the block diagram of the test set, the diagram have an input supply
along with an indicator & fuse protection. A step down transformer used for decreasing
the voltage, which is used in PCB. The output generated by PCB is provided to the Front
Penal of the test equipment with the help of BNC cables along with course, medium &
fine potentiometer on the front penal of the FTM test set. Above test set is connected to
the LRU with the help of connector.
Fig. 2 shows visual look of the FTM test set along with front panel. The front panel of test
set consists of:
a) ON/OFF switch
b) Lamp indicator
c) BNC socket (Reference output)
d) BS-2 socket (Ground)
e) Course Potentiometer
f) Medium Potentiometer
g) Fine Potentiometer
