Fixed Object For Holding Workpiece In Multiple Planes For Machining Operation

Abstract: This invention relates to create a fixed object, mostly called as fixture for holding a work piece for a machining operation. This object securely locates (position in a specific location or orientation) and supports the work, ensuring that work piece produced using the fixed object will maintain conformity and interchangeability. This invention is designed such that the pressure or motion of the machining operation (usually known as the feed) is directed primarily against the solid component of the fixed object. This reduces the likelihood that the fixed object will fail, interrupting the operation and potentially causing damage to infrastructure, components, or operators. The most valuable function of this fixed object is to reduce labor costs. Without this fixed object, operating a machine or process may require two or more operators; using this fixed object, one can suppress the labor involvement with securing the work piece.

FIELD OF THE 5 INVENTION
Fixed objects are usually classified according to the machine for which they were
designed. The most common two are “Milling fixed objects” and “Drill fixed objects”.
10 This invention relates to “Milling fixed objects”
This invention improves the economy of production by allowing smooth
operation and quick transition from part to part, reducing the requirement for skilled
labor by simplifying how workpieces are mounted, and increasing conformity across a
15 production run.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
20 Primary purpose of this fixed object is to create a secure mounting point for a
work piece, allowing for support during operation and increased accuracy, precision,
reliability, and interchangeability in the finished parts. It also serves to reduce working
time by allowing quick set‐up, and by smoothing the transition from part to part. It
frequently reduces the complexity of a process, allowing for unskilled workers to
25 perform it and effectively transferring the skill of the tool maker to the unskilled worker.
Fixed objects also allow for a higher degree of operator safety by reducing the
concentration and effort required to hold a piece steady.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of present invention is to provide a Milling fixed
35 object that facilitates effective Milling of test piece.
Annexure‐II
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is provided to provide a
more rigid Milling Fixed object.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixed
object for holding work piece adapted to be fixed on the bed of milling machine 5 for
milling operations.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a more
rigid fixed object to hold the workpiece.
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is to provide a lighter
10 Milling fixed object for holding the workpiece.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixed
object that can be properly and effectively utilized to hold and firmly fixed the
workpiece by lesser skilled individuals.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a fixed
15 object for holding a workpiece that have supports pin to support workpiece to eliminate
the distortion during machining due to vibration.

DETAILD DESCRIPTION
Referring to fig. 1, 2 & fig. 3 present invention is a milling fixed object (9) adapted 5 for
used on Jig Boring M/C.
The milling fixed object is designed to hold the work piece (10) well positioned as
reference surfaces given on work piece & rigidly for milling operation on work piece‐10. Milling
10 fixed object comprise a base plate (1) having a substantially flat top surface( A) and bottom
surface( B), base plate made of mild steel of 23 mm thick, surface (B) of base plate rest on Jig
Boring M/C bed & base plate clamped on Jig Boring machine through 4 holes .
The work piece rest on Surface A of base plate and Located by one location pin 3. Pins
15 are fixed on surface A of base plate to position the work piece for reference of milling operation
base plate surfaces A & B are parallel with in 0.05 mm work piece clamped by 3‐Clamp using
Allen screw with washers.
Dialing face C in base plate used as a datum for manufacturing of milling fixed object (9)
20 to maintain the all the items as describe above & this dialing face C is also used to position the
milling fixed object when fixing on Jig Boring M/C bed.
