FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention pertains to work holding fixtures for machine tools, and
more particularly to a precision universal Work holding fixture adapted to support
work to be machined and locate it relative to the cutting tool.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
This invention pertains to work holding fixtures for machine tools, and
more particularly to a precision work holding fixture adapted to support work to
be machined and locate it relative to the cutting tool. An object of this invention is
the provision of a new and improved work holding fixture for machine tools which
is rugged, compact, and capable of high precision holding of work piece. This
fixture helps to accomplished with a minimum of setup time and a maximum of
productivity.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
In accordance with one aspect of present invention is to provide a fixture
that facilitates proper positioning of the work piece on machine tools.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention is to provide an
accurate positioning of work piece on fixture.
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is provided proper
holding of work piece.

more rigid fixture for machine tools.
. In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a
fixture for machine tools having a dialing face on base plate.
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is to provide a
lighter fixture for machine tools.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a
fixture for machine tools that can be properly and effectively utilized to hold and
firmly fixed the work piece by lesser skilled individuals.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring now to FIG. 1, 2& 3 present invention is a fixture 7 adopted for
used on Machine tools.
The fixture for machine tools 7 is designed to hold the work piece 8 well
positioned as reference Surfaces given on work piece 8 & rigidity for machining
operation of casting 8. fixture for machine tools 7 comprise a base plate 1 having
a substantially flat top surface ‘A’ and bottom surface ‘B’, base plate made of mild
steel, surface ‘B’ of base plate rest on M/C bed D & clamped base plate A
through 2-C’ bore holes 9 made in base plate 1 on M/c tool bed.

Position pin 3 of made of Standard dowel, HRD & GRD 40-45 RC fixed
with base plate A to position the work piece 8 to get datum position for
machining.
Guide pin 4 are used to guide the work piece made of standard dowel pin,
HRD & GRD 40-45 RC fixed with the base plate 1. Work piece is clamped in two
points with two clamps of EN8 to securely hold the casting to avoid the vibration
on casting during machining.
Dialing face ‘C’ in base plate A used as a datum for the manufacturing of
fixture 7 to maintain the position of all the items as describe above & this dialing
face ‘C’ is also used to position the fixture when fixing on Machine tool bed. Allen
head screw 5, 6 are used to clamp the work piece on the fixture 7.

1. A fixture for holding and supporting a work piece adapted to be positioned on work table of machine tools. The fixture comprising:
- Base Plate adapted to be coupled to the bed of machine tools.
- Position pin that guide the work piece to remain in pre determined position.
- Guide pin that helps to position the work piece on the fixture.
-clamp to securely hold the work piece on fixture.
2. The fixture for machine tools of claim 1 wherein, bottom surface of the base plate is adapted to positioned on the machine tools bed.
3. The fixture for machine tools according to claim 1 further including Two counter bore hole for clamping the fixture on machine tool bed.
4. The fixture for machine tools of claim 1 further comprising a dialling face that provides reference edge for the other sub component of fixture.
5. The fixture for machine tools of claim 1 further comprising a guide pins those facilitates the positioning of work piece on fixture. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
