FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is related process improvement for focused sealing of optical
assembly and apparatus for manufacturing of different dimension of flexible gasket
to use in adjustable optical focused sealing.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The focused sealing of optics in any optical assembly is one of the foremost
operations which decide the quality of whole assembly. The standard procedure of
optical focused sealing is by placing selective gasket of different dimension in
between the optics and finally application of sealing glue. This said standard
procedure of optical sealing by selective gasket may cause disturbance of aligned
focus optics after cementing of sealing glue. This causes failure of the test piece on
focusing parameter and required disassembly, re-focusing and again sealing of
optical assembly. This increases the cycle time. The above said process also not
good to get quality product in continuous production line. The inventor reorganized
the problems of sealing operation by using flexible gasket and prepares the required
dimension of flexible gasket by designed apparatus of flexible gasket manufacturing.

SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
The existing process of focused sealing for optical assembly is not confirming the
quality product of test piece. The said process cause uneven sealing of optical face
and result as degraded visual quality of gluing process. The inventor modified the
focused sealing operation of optical assembly by using flexible gasket placement in
between the optics. The calculated width gasket is made by Flexible Gasket
Manufacturing Apparatus. Different widths of gaskets are made within the positive &
negative tolerance. Optical assembly focused by using any one of the gasket which
is most suitable & seal the optics by application of glue on said optics face.
The improved process of focused optical sealing & manufacturing of flexible gasket
by said apparatus is useful in accordance of following aspect-
In accordance with one aspect of present invention, the reorganization of
process reduces cycle time of production of optical assembly.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention, the said improved
process result accurate & stabilized focusing of optical assembly before & after
sealing operation.
In accordance with yet second aspect of present invention, the raw material
for manufacturing of gasket is same of sealing glue, this result uniformity of sealing
on the test piece.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the improve
process reverse calculation of gasket width according to focus position of optics
reduces the focusing operation time by the operator.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention the design
apparatus have flexibility to manufacture different width of gasket.

In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the apparatus is
smaller in size & weight and handy to transport at different work station.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the said
apparatus is assembly of four parts which make it easy for cleaning & make ready
for next use.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the said
apparatus glue filling cavity for manufacturing of gasket is smooth enough which
cause easy removal of gasket from cavity after drying.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the clamp plate of
said apparatus made is for manufacturing of contaminated free gasket, because it
covers the total area of holding plate from upper side.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the Allen screw
arrangement for opening & closing of apparatus make it speedy assembly &
disassembly operation.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS
Fig. 1 is a detail mechanical design of holding plate.
Fig. 2 is a detail mechanical design of clamp plate.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring the figure 1 and 2, the Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus is a
die for manufacturing of flexible gasket. The making of flexible gasket is added
advantage in the improved process of focused optical sealing. During cementing
operation of glue on sealing face of optics create inward radial direction pressure, so

flexibility used gasket able to accommodate this pressure. The said process avoids
any disturbance in focusing & alignment of optical assembly after sealing operation.
The said apparatus is assembly of 04 different item, they are called as pos.1- holding
plate, pos 2- clamp plate & standard size of Allen screw with washer.
The holding plate 1 is rectangular shape plate, which is main plate of the
apparatus in which different size of cavity made to hold the sealing glue for
manufacturing of flexible gasket. The cavity surface made smooth so that gasket
could be easily remove from there after cementing process. Two threaded hole
made at both end of the holding plate 1 for tightening of clamp plate 2 via Allen
Screw & washer. The clamp plate 2 is of same size of holding plate so that it could
cover total area of holding plate 1 cavities, to avoid any type of contamination during
cementing operation of sealing glue for gasket manufacturing. Clamp plate have slot
on both end to match with threaded hole of holding plate 1. This type of slot design
make on clamp plate 2 and Allen screw, in this apparatus make it easy & speedy
assembly – disassembly.

Accordingly, the description of the present invention is to be considered as illustrative only and is for the purpose of teaching those skilled in the art of the best mode of carrying out the invention. The details may be varied substantially without departing from the spirit of the invention, and exclusive use of all modifications which are within the scope of the appended claims is reserved. We Claim

1. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus is assembly of different mechanical item which in combination act as a die for manufacturing of different dimension of flexible gasket to use in improved process of optical focused sealing of test piece, the said apparatus comprises of following :
- Holding Plate is rectangular shape plate which have different size cavity.
- Clamp Plate, is covering plate with slot at booth end.
- Standard Allen Head Screw & washer for assembly of both plates.

2. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim1 wherein, have flexibility to manufacture different width of gasket.

3. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim1 wherein, glue filling cavity of holding plate for manufacturing of gasket is smooth which cause easy removal of gasket from cavity after drying.

4. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim1 wherein, the clamp plate of said apparatus made for the manufacturing of contaminated free gasket, as it covers the holding plate from upper side.

5. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim1 wherein, Allen screw arrangement for opening & closing of apparatus make it speedy assembly & disassembly operation.

6. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim 2 further comprises that it is easy for cleaning & speedy readiness for next use.

7. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim 1 wherein, the improved process result accurate & stabilized focusing of optical assembly before & after sealing operation.

8. The Flexible Gasket Manufacturing Apparatus of claim 1 wherein, in improved process the raw material use for manufacturing of gasket is same of sealing glue, this result uniformity of sealing on the test piece. ,TagSPECI:As per Annexure-II
