Forged Crank Shaft And Method For Producing Same
Abstract: This forged crank shaft (1) comprises a carbon steel containing S , and has a ratio (x/y) of a sulfide area ratio (x) in a position (X) corresponding to the parting plane of a finish- forging die to the sulfide area ratio (y) in a position (Y) corresponding to the base of the die- carved section of the finish -forging die of 1.5 or less , in a section corresponding to the surface after outer- circumferential mechanical processing of shaft parts including a journal part (J) , a pin part (P), a front part (Fr) ,and a flange part (Fl). This forged crank shaft (1) is capable of preventing the occurrence of processed surface cracking in the journal part (J) and the pin part (P) after the outer- circumferential mechanical processing.
