Abstract: The present invention relates to a formulation for enhancement of beauty and skin radiance in a person. The formulation is a combination of various herbs and plants produced in India. The formulation is in the form of a liquid beverage that is ready to drink. The formulation enhances the skin condition making it glowing and radiant. The formulation is a health drink. The formulation of the present invention is without any preservatives & still having a longer shelf life at ambient conditions with no cold storage/frozen requirements
[001] The present invention generally relates to herbal formulations and more particularly to an herbal formulation for enhancement of skin radiance in humans.
B) BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
[002] Healthy skin is extremely important for good health. Skin is the largest organ of the body and protects the body from germs and infectious agents. While many people want healthy skin because of the radiant appearance it provides, it can also be an indicator of overall good health, and having a healthy skin starts with having a healthy body.
[003] Skincare and anti-aging products are huge industries. Global organic skin care market is expected to rise with a CAGR of 10% during forecast period 2017-2024. The key factors driving the market growth are increasing consumer awareness regarding organic skincare products, growing e-commerce industry, increase in disposable income and expansion of distribution channels. High cost of organic skincare products and brief shelf life of organic products are market restraining factors. Developments in organic skincare products and improved standards of living are expected to provide novel market opportunities. However, availability of advanced beauty treatments and skin issues related to organic cosmetics are expected to challenge the market growth.
[004] Chemical based skin care products do offer benefits, but they come with lots of side effects. Harmful chemicals pose a great threat to the internal organs of the body. On the other hand, natural skin care products are completely devoid of any toxic smell. The best natural skincare product can heal or restore damaged skin cells to prevent hyper pigmentation, skin breakout, wrinkles, and fine lines. Natural products do not harm the environment also.
[005] Hence there is a need to develop an herbal formulation that improves the skin of a person thus enhancing the beauty. There is a need to develop a herbal formulation that can be easily consumed and is devoid of any harmful ingredients.
[006] The value additions and above-mentioned shortcomings, disadvantages and problems are addressed herein, as detailed below.
C) OBJECT OF INVENTION
[007] The primary object of the present invention is to provide an herbal
formulation for enhancing the skin radiance in humans.
[008] Another object of the present invention is to provide a herbal formulation
that is 100% natural, free from preservatives & yet having Longer shelf life at
ambient conditions.
[009] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an herbal
formulation that enhances the texture of skin providing glowing and radiant skin.
[0010] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an herbal
formulation that is less acidic, hydrates the body, low in calorie and has less sugar
content
[0011] Yet another object of the present invention is to provide an herbal
formulation that is Ready-To-Drink healthy beverage.

D) SUMMARY OF INVENTION
[0013] The various embodiments of the present invention provide a formulation for enhancement of skin radiance in a person. The formulation for enhancement of skin radiance comprises a mix of fruit concentrate, tender coconut water, a mix of one or more herbs, flavouring agent, black carrot extract (Pink color), and water. The mix of fruit concentrate is present in an amount of 0.55% to 11% by weight. The tender coconut water is present in an amount of 2% to 40%by weight. The mix of one or more herbs is present in an amount of 0.004% to 4% by weight. The flavouring agent is present in an amount of 0.02% to 2.1%> by weight. The
colouring agent is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.5% by weight. The water is present in an amount of 20% to 90% by weight.
[0014] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mix of fruit concentrate comprises deionized apple juice concentrate, frozen lemon juice concentrate & Cherry berry juice concentrate. The deionized apple juice concentrate is present in an amount of 0.5% to 10% by weight. The frozen lemon juice concentrate is present in an amount of 0.05% to 1% by weight. The cherry berry concentrate is present in an amount of 0.01% to 1% by weight. [0015] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the mix of one or more herbs comprises an extract of amla, aloe vera dry powder, an extract of gotu kola, and an extract of curcuma. The extract of amla is present in an amount of 0.001%) to l%by weight. The aloe vera dry powder is present in an amount of 0.001%) to P/o by weight. The extract of gotu kola is present in an amount of 0.001%) to P/o by weight. The extract of curcuma is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight.
[0016] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the flavouring agent comprises sweetness modifier, rose flavour, Vettivert oil and plum ginger flavour. The sweetness modifier is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.1% by weight. The rose flavour is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.5% by weight. The vettivert oil is present in an amount of 0.0001% to 0.1% by weight. The plum ginger flavour is present in an amount of 0.001% to 0.5% by weight.
[0017] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the colouring agent is black carrot extract which gives pink colour to the formulation. The formulation for enhancement of skin radiance comprises a mix of fruit concentrate, tender coconut water, a mix of one or more herbs, flavouring agent, colouring agent, and water. Amla is loaded with skin-friendly Vitamin C which can do wonders for all your skin woes. Vitamin C is a natural antioxidant, which means that it protects against the harmful effects of free radicals. Amla helps in slowing down the aging process and is needed for collagen production hence keeping the skin healthy and supports the immune system." Amla purifies blood and fights toxins which help you get a beautiful and radiant skin. The rich antioxidants of amla also help delay the effects of premature aging such as fine lines, wrinkles, dark spots and give a young and supple skin.
[0029] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the centella extract or the gotu kola extract is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight. Centella asiatica, commonly known as centella, Asiatic pennywort or Gotu kola, is a herbaceous, frost-tender perennial plant in the flowering plant family Apiaceae. Centella is native to the wetlands in Asia. Gotu Kola also acts as a toner for the skin. This herb tones and tightens the skin if applied topically. Gotu kola herb promotes the collagen production in human body, helps in improving the condition of an aging skin, wrinkles and fine lines. The fall of collagen production leads to fine lines, aging and wrinkles. Gotu Kola’s ability to replete the collagen supply in human body makes it a main ingredient in most of the anti-aging formulas.
[0030] According to an embodiment of the present invention, aloe vera is used in the form of powder. The aloe vera dry powder is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1%by weight. Aloe vera moisturises the skin without giving it a greasy feel, so it is perfect for anyone with an oily skin complexion. Aloe vera also helps soothe the skin making it look smooth and perfect. Aloe vera helps with sunburn through its powerful healing activity at the epithelial levels of the skin, a layer that covers the body. Aloe vera acts as a protective layer of the skin and helps replenish its moisture. Aloe vera contains numerous antioxidants that include beta-carotene, vitamin C and E that helps in improving the skin's natural firmness and further

keep the skin hydrated. Aloe vera has anti-inflammatory properties that help fight against acne-causing bacteria. Aloe vera helps in removing marks on the skin. [0031] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the turmeric extract is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1%by weight. Turmeric or Curcumin, which is the primary active ingredient in turmeric root, contributes to its anti-inflammatory effects. Owing to its anti-inflammatory and antibacterial benefits, turmeric can work wonders on condition-riddled skin. Turmeric helps reduce redness from blemishes and calm skin conditions like eczema and rosacea. Turmeric is excellent for acne because it is a natural antiseptic and helps to keep bacteria from spreading. Turmeric also helps prevent loss of skin elasticity due to long term UV exposure. Turmeric has the antioxidative power to penetrate and improve the function of the skin membrane cells, which will help prevent and treat stretch marks. Turmeric deeply hydrates and revitalizes skin while alleviating symptoms of dryness. Turmeric naturally speeds up the process of removing dead skin cells to reveal healthy and soft skin, and protects the skin cells from further damage.

The flavouring agent gives the formulation of the present invention a sweet taste which can be easily consumed by humans. This sweet taste makes the formulation readily drinkable. The flavouring agent comprises sweetness modifier, rose flavour, Vettivert oil and plum ginger flavour. The sweetness modifier is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.1% by weight. The rose flavour is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.5% by weight. The vettivert oil is present in an amount of 0.0001% to 0.1% by weight. The plum ginger flavour is present in an amount of 0.001% to 0.5% by weight. The amount of each flavouring agent is optimum enough to overcome the bitter tastes of the herbs used.
[0033] According to an embodiment of the present invention, the formulation is in the form of a liquid. The formulation is ready-to-drink liquid. The formulation should be taken once or twice a day. The formulation enhances the skin condition of humans.

[0036] FIG. 1 is a flowchart showing the various steps involved in the making of the formulation for enhancement of skin radiance, according to an embodiment of the present invention. With respect of FIG. 1, the equipments are cleaned and dried (101). The raw materials are cleaned and weighed (102). A mixture of fruit concentrate is prepared and loaded in a tank (103). A predetermined amount of tender coconut water is added in the tank (104). A mixture of extracts of one or more herbs is prepared and added in the tank (105). A predetermined amount of flavoring agent and coloring agent are added to the tank (106). A predetermined

amount of water is added to the tank (107). The contents of the tank are blended and homogenized (108). The contents of the tank are pasteurized at 92°C/30Sec and hot filling is done at 72°C±2°C, followed by bottle capping, cooling and packaging the formulation (109). The formulation is a ready-to-drink beverage liquid. The mix of fruit concentrate is added in an amount of 0.55% to 11% by weight, the tender coconut water is added in an amount of 2% to 40% by weight, the mix of one or more herbs is added in an amount of 0.004% to 4% by weight, the flavouring agent is added in an amount of 0.02% to 2.1% by weight, the black carrot extract (Pink color) as colouring agent is added in an amount of 0.01% to 0.5% by weight, and the water is added in an amount of 20% to 90% by weight. The herbs used in the present invention has bitter taste that is not acceptable by the consumers. Hence, in order to avoid the usage of any artificial sweetener and to make the formulation of the present

invention completely natural, coconut water is added. Other benefits of using coconut water is that it has less calories and there is no need of any preservatives. Thus, it makes the formulation of the present invention low calorie, naturally sweet and without any preservative which is safe for humans. The coconut water is added is a quantity of 2% to 40% which is unique to provide the optimum sweetness to the formulation.
[0041] Deionized Apple Juice Concentrate is produced by the clarification, filtration, deionization and the evaporation (concentration) of Apple Juice which has already been obtained by processing the fresh, clean, ripe and sound apples through the consecutive stages of washing, sorting, crushing and pressing. Naturally occurring substances which give the acidity, color and the taste (aroma) of apple juice are removed by the deionization process where the natural sugar content of the apple juice is preserved in the final product. Having no color, taste and odour, hence, deionized apple juice concentrate is used as a natural sweetener in the present invention to make the product 100% natural.
[0042] An important aspect is that the drink is without any preservatives. Any drink with herbals has a challenge of achieving a longer shelf life. For this, normal practice would be to add preservatives like ascorbic acid etc. The present invention ensures that there is no preservative starting from Raw material till finished goods, the formulation achieves a pH of between 3 to 4, Pasteurization being done at 88-94°C for time of 10 to 60 seconds & then liquid is being hot filled to achieve longer shelf life even at ambient conditions. Hence no requirement of cold storage/Frozen conditions.
G) ADVANTAGES OF INVENTION
[0043] The present invention provides a healthy product that is completely natural, low in calories and low in sugar at the same time. The formulation is free from any preservatives. The product is for consumers who want to improve the condition of skin and want a healthy and glowing skin. The formulation is a liquid product which tasty, affordable, convenient and ready to use.

Claims:
A formulation for enhancement of skin radiance comprises:
a mix of fruit concentrate, wherein the mix of fruit concentrate is present
in an amount of 0.55% to 11% by weight;
tender coconut water, wherein the tender coconut water is present in an
amount of 2% to 40% by weight;
a mix of one or more herbs, wherein the mix of one or more herbs is
present in an amount of 0.004%) to 4% by weight;
flavouring agent, wherein the flavouring agent is present in an amount of
0.02% to 2.1% by weight;
colouring agent, wherein the colouring agent is present in an amount of
0.01% to 0.5% by weight; and
water, wherein the water is present in an amount of 20% to 90% by
weight.
2. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mix of fruit concentrate comprises deionized apple juice concentrate, frozen lemon juice concentrate, Cherry berry juice concentrate.

The formulation as claimed in claim 2, wherein the deionized apple juice concentrate is present in an amount of 0.5% to 10% by weight, and wherein the frozen lemon juice concentrate is present in an amount of 0.05% to 1% by weight, and wherein the Cherry Berry juice concentrate is present in an amount of 0.01% to P/o by weight.
4. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein the mix of one or more herbs comprises an extract of amla, aloe vera dry powder, an extract of gotu kola, and an extract of curcuma.

The formulation as claimed in claim 4, wherein the extract of amla is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight, wherein the aloe vera dry powder is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight, wherein the extract of gotu kola is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight, and wherein the extract of curcuma is present in an amount of 0.001% to 1% by weight.
6. The formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein the flavouring agent comprises sweetness modifier, rose flavour, Vettivert oil and plum ginger flavour.

The formulation as claimed in claim 8, wherein the sweetness modifier is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.1% by weight wherein the rose flavour is present in an amount of 0.01% to 0.5% by weight, wherein the vettivert oil is present in an amount of 0.0001% to 0.1% by weight, and wherein the plum ginger flavour is present in an amount of 0.001% to 0.5% by weight.
