Front Fender For A Motorcycle

Abstract: Given disclosure describes a front fender structure for a motorcycle. Said front fender has a front part, a rear part and a centre part integrated with each other such that centre part is connected with front and rear part at different ends. Multiple side brackets are fixed in vertical orientation below the centre part such that side brackets are fixed with front end of rear part and rear end of front part. Front suspension assembly is passing through the cut outs formed on the sides of the centre part and a wiring route is defined by the side brackets. Said wiring route keeps passing wiring harness intact from damages.

Specification

FIELD OF THE INVENTION

The invention generally relates to front fender structure of a two/three wheeled vehicle and more particularly to a front fender providing a defined passage for wiring harness of the vehicle.

BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION

Generally, in two wheeled and three wheeled vehicles front fender is made up of Left (L) and Right (R) part which are welded together along the centre line of front fender. The construction is made with narrow width in the front and broader width in the rear. This front fender is having a reinforcement plate which connects the front fender L, R (welded) for providing sufficient stiffness in the part. This front fender is having relief for front fork and cable routing.

The problems that are faced in this type of construction is difficulty in assembly/servicing of cables, hence an additional bracket (hook type) is welded in front fender for ensuring proper routing of cables. But then cables get loose over the time and strain during suspension or steering movement leads to poor durability of the part.

Thus a solution related to proper wiring for the vehicle is required in order to prevent damage and improve durability of the same.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION

Main objective of the present invention is to provide a front fender structure for a motorcycle. This front fender has a front part, a rear part and a centre part integrated with each other and forming a single unit.

Centre part is connected with front and rear part at different/opposite ends such that housing space for front suspension system is created on both sides of the centre part. Said centre part is fixed with the front and rear part of the front fender in a horizontal plane.

Multiple side brackets are fixed in vertical orientation below the horizontal plane of the centre part such that side brackets are fixed with front end of rear part and rear end of front part. A wiring route is formed by cut outs of the side brackets in order to keep passing wiring harness intact from damages.

BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF THE DRAWINGS

The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing which is incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention, illustrate several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention and thus, are not limited of the present invention and a brief description of the drawing is as follows:

Figure 1 is depicting the mounting arrangement of the claimed fender over the front fork of the vehicle.

Figure 2 and Figure 3 are showing main embodiments of the claimed front fender.

Figure 4 is describing the assembling arrangement of the main embodiment of the claimed invention.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described for enablement purpose of the invention. The invention may have application to all types of vehicles. The scope of the invention is entirely based upon the claims provided.

Reference is made to Figure 1 in order to describe the mounting arrangement of the claimed front fender (101/102) over the front suspension (103) of the vehicle.
Said front fender is basically divided into two parts i.e. front part (101) and rear part (102) fixed over the front suspension system (103) which is fixed with steering pipe (100) of the vehicle. Mentioned suspension system (103) is fixed with the front wheel (104).

Further as shown in Figure 2 to Figure 4, front part (101) and rear part (102) of the front fender are connected through a centre part (107) and side brackets (105,106) on both sides of the front fender. Said the centre part (107) is connected with the front part (101) and rear part (102) in a horizontal plane H from lower side of the front fender.

Mentioned centre part (107) and side brackets (105,106) are integrated with the front part (101) and the rear part (102) of the front fender such that all parts are forming a single unit and stay detachable.

As shown in Figure 2 to Figure 4, side brackets (105, 106) can be fixed with the rear (102) and front (101) part of the front fender through welding and the centre part (107) is bolted as well as welded with the front (101) and rear part (102). Said side brackets are connected to the front part (101) and the rear part (102) in a vertical orientation V below the horizontal plane H of the centre part (107).

Referring back to Figure 2 to Figure 4, assembly arrangement of the front fender shows that the centre part (107) of the front fender is fixed with through bolts or welding at specific locations (108, 109) in best way such that the vibration level between the parts i.e. front part (101), centre part (107) and the rear part (102) can be minimised.

Front (101) and rear (102) parts of the front fender are joined in such a way that gaps (110,111) for housing front suspension system (103) is left for mounting front fender over the vehicle. Further side brackets (105,106) are provided with a provision with cable wiring route of the vehicle. Said wiring route is defining one or more cut-outs R provided in said side brackets (105,106).

Described and disclosed arrangement of all the embodiments of the front fender ensures that wiring harness of the vehicle passing through said side brackets (105, 106) will not get damaged as no strain will be on the wires resulting in increase in durability of the part.

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS

1) A front fender structure of a motorized wheeled vehicle comprising a front part and a rear part integrated with each other through a centre part and a plurality of side brackets such that said front fender is providing space for a front suspension assembly neighbouring the centre part and for wiring cables of the vehicle neighbouring the plurality of side brackets, wherein the front part, the rear part and the centre part are configured to form a single unit.

2) The front fender structure, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the centre part is connected with the front part and rear part in a horizontal plane.

3) The front fender structure, as claimed in claim 2, wherein the centre part is connected with the front part and rear part from the lower side.

4) The front fender structure, as claimed in claim 1, wherein the plurality of side brackets is connected to the front part and the rear part in a vertical orientation below the horizontal plane of the centre part.

5) The front fender structure, as claimed in claim 4, wherein the plurality of side brackets are connected to a rear end of the front part and a front end of the rear part configured to provide a wiring route.

6) The front fender structure, as claimed in claim 5, wherein the wiring route is defining atleast one cut out provided in said plurality of side brackets.
