Front Seat Front Mounting Bracket For Vehicles

Abstract: This invention relates to a mounting bracket for a front seat assembly of a vehicle comprising a main bracket member having a first and second portion, said second portion having an aperture disposed therein a support bracket member disposed within a groove portion provided in the second portion said support bracket member comprising a plurality of flange members adapted to house a floating nut and said flange portion being configured to restrict the rotary motion of the said floating nut.

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention.

FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention is related to the vehicle system and more particularly it relates to the front seat front mounting bracket for a vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Generally for mounting of seat of vehicles, different types of brackets are used. For mounting the front seat the intermediate brackets are widely used which is generally connected to the track mounted on the floor of vehicle. Said intermediate bracket for mounting front seat comprises hole provided therein through which the seat is bolted with the help of nut which is fixed. There is oblong hole provided in the intermediate bracket for taking the variation in the BIW and variation in the seat. This arrangement creates discomfort or inconvenience to the rear passenger.
OBJECTS OF INVENTION
The main object of the present invention is to provide front seat front mounting
bracket for a vehicle.
Another object of the present invention is to provide method of assembly of
front seat front mounting bracket for a vehicle.
Yet another object of the present invention is to provide front seat front
mounting bracket for a vehicle which is simple in construction and cost
effective which also provide comfort to the rear passenger.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
Front seat front mounting bracket for a vehicle comprises; main bracket (A) having first portion(l), second portion(2) comprises hole (5) provided therein, wherein said second portion(2) comprises groove portion(3) for mounting the


support bracket member(4) , said support bracket member is configured to disposed in the said groove portion of said second portion of main bracket, wherein said support bracket member having hole (7) provided therein is rigidly mounted on the said groove, said support bracket member comprises at least four flange member(8) adapted to house the floating nut(6), said flange portion is configured to restrict the rotary motion of the said floating nut which is disposed on the said the said groove, said hole of said second portion of main bracket and hole of said support bracket member having common axis.
DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
Referring now to the drawings wherein the showings are for the purpose of
illustrating a preferred embodiment of the invention only, and not for the
purpose of limiting the same,
Figure-1 shows sectional view of groove provided on the second portion of
main bracket.
Figure-2 shows the support bracket connected to the main bracket.
Figure-3 shows the flange member of support bracket.
Figure-4 show the main bracket
Figure-5 shows the isometric view of the main bracket with support bracket
member.
Figure-6 shows detailed sectional view with holes provided in main bracket
and support bracket member.
Now referring to the figure 1 to , in accordance with this inventin, Front seat front mounting bracket for a vehicle comprises; main bracket having first portion , second portion comprises hole provided therein, wherein said second portion comprises groove portion for mounting the support bracket member , said support bracket member is configured to disposed in the said groove portion of said second portion of main bracket, wherein said support bracket member having hole provided therein is rigidly mounted on the said groove,


said support bracket member comprises at least four flange member adapted to house the floating nut, said flange portion is configured to restrict the rotary motion of the said floating nut which is disposed on the said the said groove, said hole of said second portion of main bracket and hole of said support bracket member having common axis.
The said main bracket comprises floating nut wherein the seat belt is fastened. The rotary motion of the floating nut is restricted by flange member of said support bracket member which not only restricts the movement along the bolt axis but also holds the nut. The said support bracket along with the said floating nut is connected to the said main bracket. The said support bracket member is configured in such a way that it gives necessary freedom to the floating nut along the lateral direction as well as along the longitudinal direction. The said support bracket member comprises at least four flange member adapted to restrict the rotary motion of the said floating nut. The clearance between the said floating nut and the said support bracket bracket along lateral and longitudinal axis is calculated considering the BIW tolerance value.
The said main bracket is mounted on a cross member of vehicle and the seat is bolted through the holes provided in the said main bracket and support bracket member. The said support bracket member comprises floating nut, any variation in BIW along lateral and longitudinal axis can be overridden which adjusts itself by moving along said lateral and longitudinal axis to compensate the variation. When torque is applied to the bolt, the bolt starts screwing the said floating nut and the said flange member of the said support bracket member prevents the rotary motion of said floating nut.
In accordance with the present invention, method of assembly comprises; selecting the main bracket, selecting the support bracket member, disposing the


floating nut to the support member, attaching the said support bracket member to the main bracket, bolting the seat to the said main bracket.
The foregoing description is a specific embodiment of the present invention. It should be appreciated that this embodiment is described for purpose of illustration only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.
