Abstract: A system for giving signal to engine to switch into two different maps depending on laden / unladen condition Vehicle. The load signal representative of cargo load (vehicle at laden or unladen condition) is sense by a mechanical or electro mechanical system is fed to the Engine control module to enable the engine control module to switch on to unladen or Laden condition map. This will result in improved fuel economy of the vehicle.

PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION The following specification describes the invention.
FILED OF INVENTION
This invention relates improvement of fuel efficiency by using only signal of cargo load and more particularly related to controlling engine in laden and unladen condition of the vehicle.
BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Especially large cargo-carrying vehicles operate in laden & unladen Condition. In these both cases the way driver operates the vehicle that affects the fuel economy .There is no control on fuel intake for vehicle running in laden and unladen condition. Due to increasing cost of fuel it is therefore desirable to provide a system that maximizes fuel economy. There are patent earlier which are based on input signal for electronic engine are taken from accelerator pedal, pneumatic suspension, engine speed sensor, vehicle speed sensors etc. after mapping all these sensors ECU calibrated & accordingly engines runs in continuous varying load dependent module.
SUMMARY OF INVENTION
This system applicable for existing non Electronic Engines & leaf spring suspension. The present invention provides control of the engine operation as a function of weight of the cargo carried by the vehicle in two conditions Laden condition Unladen condition
The present invention makes use of an existing mechanical engine and leaf spring suspension. A mechanical system is used to generate laden or unladen condition of the vehicle. The output of the system can be a pressure related to load of the vehicle which then converted into electrical signals or directly electrical signals are produced. The
2
signals are produced at laden and unladen condition only. The mechanical system is set to generate pressure signals at these two specific loading conditions. The electrical signals produced according to the laden or unladen condition are feed to engine for operate in said conditions. While working in unladen condition engine will require less fuel compared to the engine runs in laden condition. The mechanical system can be a Load conscious regulating valve or a rotary potentiometer. A rotating linkage mechanism which is in contact with a member ( a linkage between two axles) representing the chassis height, defines two angular positions according to the chassis height is attached to the system so that the system can generate signal according to the position of the chassis height. In a specific embodiment a Load Conscious Regulating Valve is attached to a linkage between two axles. Which will generate pressure signal according to the chassis height. The pressure signal gets converted into electrical signal using a pneumatic-eclectic relay valve. This electric signal feed to the engine for running in laden and unladen condition of the vehicle.
At unladen condition the LCRV set to generate a specific pressure output. Which will then convert into electrical signals and feed to the engine to work in laden condition. And in laden condition the LCRV output will be more than the pressure set at unladen condition. And the electrical signals generated will be higher than the signals generate at unladen conditions.
According to the electrical signals at laden and unladen condition the engine is set to work at laden and unladen conditions.
