Abstract: This gas barrier film comprises a substrate having polyethylene as the main resin component, and an inorganic oxide layer formed on a first surface side of the substrate. The birefringence ?N of a first surface, calculated on the basis of measurement by a parallel Nicol rotation method, is 0-0.007, and the proportion of the polyethylene in the gas barrier film as a whole is at least 90 mass%.
