Abstract: A gas-barrier multilayer body which is provided with a paper base material and a vapor deposition layer, and which is capable of achieving hermetic sealing by means of heat sealing. With respect to this gas-barrier multilayer body, the paper base material has a weight of from 30 to 100 g/m2; and the water vapor transmission rate and the oxygen transmission rate of this gas-barrier multilayer body are respectively within specific ranges.
