Generation Device

Abstract: Provided is a generation device capable of limiting damage to a cathode-side diaphragm and/or an anode-side diaphragm. A generation device (1) comprises: electrolytic cell (5) having chambers (6), (7), (8) partitioned via a cathode-side diaphragm (11) and an anode-side diaphragm (12); and a diaphragm protecting structure (75) that limits damage to the cathode-side diaphragm (11) and/or the anode-side diaphragm (12). The electrolytic cell (5) has: paired cover members (41) each including a recessed part (51) that defines a cathode chamber (6) and an anode chamber (7); a partition wall (42) that includes an opening part (61) defining an intermediate chamber (8) and is sandwiched between the cover members (41) via a cathode (13), an anode (14), the cathode-side diaphragm (11), and the anode-side diaphragm (12); and seal members (43), (44) water-tightly closing the gap between the cover members (41) and the partition wall (42). The diaphragm protecting structure (75) includes a protruding part formed such that the protruding part protrudes from the seal members (43), (44) toward the inside of the chambers (6), (7), (8) beyond the edge of the recessed part (51) or the edge of the opening part (61).
