However, one of ordinary skill in the art will readily recognize that the present disclosure for the device is not intended to be limited to the embodiments described, but is to be accorded the widest scope consistent with the principles and features described herein.

[0016] As described above, in order to eliminate the difficulty of tightening/loosening the glands of the pressure hull junction boxes, conventionally, various tools have heretofore been proposed in loosening or tightening of glands. However, the conventional tools have limited access to fix/remove the nuts of gland, complex design, thereby failing to bite into the periphery of the glands, or not being capable of withstanding excessive torque, which is often required to be exerted without breaking or damaging the glands or the tool. In addition, subsequently, the conventional tools are costly. Thus, there is need to overcome the limitation. Thus there is a need overcome the limitation of the conventional systems.

[0017] In one embodiment, a device for a marine vessel is disclosed. The device comprises a primary jaw and a secondary jaw. The primary jaw pontoon comprises an engaging portion. The engaging portion is configured to hold a nut of a gland. In one aspect, the secondary jaw is mounted on the primary jaw. In another aspect, the secondary jaw has a holding element. In one another aspect, the secondary jaw comprising the holding element may receive a wrench pipe, the wrench pipe may exert a torque on the nut of the gland.
[0018] In one embodiment, there may include an advantage, that is, the device is capable of withstanding an excessive torque due to the secondary jaw, when the nut is engaged into the engaging portion.

[0019] In another embodiment, there may include an another advantage, the device can be moved as required in a congested place while tightening/loosening the nut, as the device is made of two parts.

[0020] Now, referring to Figures 1-5, Figure 1 illustrates a top view 100 of a primary jaw 102, a secondary jaw 106, an engaging portion 104, and a holding element 108. Figure 2 illustrates a side view 200 of a primary jaw 102, a secondary jaw 106, the engaging portion 104, and a holding element 108. Figure 3 illustrates a front view 300 of a primary jaw 102 and a secondary jaw 106. Figure 4 illustrates a top view 400 of a wrench pipe 402. Figure 5 illustrates an isometric view of a device 500.

[0021] In one embodiment, various elements of the device 500 for a marine vessel is illustrated. The marine vessel may be a ship, a submarine and the like. In one embodiment, the device 500 comprises the primary jaw 102 and the secondary jaw 106. The primary jaw 102 may have the engaging portion 104 at one side of the primary jaw 102. In one aspect, the engaging portion 104 may be semi-circular in shape. In another aspect, an inner surface of the engaging portion 104 may have a profile matching with a profile of a nut. In another embodiment, the secondary jaw 106 may be mounted on the primary jaw 102. The secondary jaw 106 may be mounted on the primary jaw 102 by joining the secondary jaw 106 to the primary jaw 102 by a process of welding.

[0022] The process of welding may be stick welding, metal inert gas welding, tungsten inert gas welding and the like. In one implementation, an edge or a base portion of the secondary jaw 106 is matched with a base portion of the primary jaw 102, which is an another side of the primary jaw 102, or an edge opposite to the engaging portion 104 of the primary jaw 102.

[0023] In another implementation, upon matching, the primary jaw 102 and the secondary jaw 106 are welded together.
[0024] A user or an automatic welding machine may weld these two parts (primary jaw 102 and secondary jaw 106). It is to be noted that, a length of the secondary jaw 106 may be half a length of the primary jaw 102. The length of the primary jaw 102 measured may be measured form an edge of a base portion to an edge of a pair of teeth 110 of the primary jaw 102.

[0025] In one another embodiment, the secondary jaw 106 may have the holding element 108 extending outwards from a centre and from the base portion of the secondary jaw 106. In one aspect, the holding element 108 may be cylindrical in shape. In another aspect, holding element 108 may be a pipe like structure. In one another aspect, the holding element 108 may have a hole 112 at a top portion. In yet another aspect, the user may insert a wrench pipe 402 into the holding element 108 via the hole 112 to form the device 500 (as shown in figure 5). Further, a threading may be provided on the wrench pipe 402 in order to fix/remove the wrench pipe 402.

[0026] Further, upon insertion of the wrench pipe 402 into the holding element 108, the user may engage the nut of the gland via the pair of teeth 110 and the engaging portion 104 of the primary jaw 102. Furthermore, an inner surface of the pair of teeth 110 may have an abrasive surface to provide or to establish a required coefficient of friction between the profile of the nut and the primary jaw 102 in order to fix/remove the nut, when the nut is engaged in the engaging portion 104 of the primary jaw 102. The abrasive surface may have grooves, notches and the like.

[0027] Furthermore, upon engaging, the user may rotate the wrench pipe 402 in clockwise/anticlockwise direction to exert a torque on the nut of the gland, thereby tightening/loosening the nut. The secondary jaw 106 may strengthen the primary jaw 102, when the torque is exerted on the nut.

[0028] Exemplary embodiments discussed above may provide advantages, these may include the following.

[0029] Some embodiments of the device is capable of withstanding an excessive torque, thus strengthening the primary jaw, due to the secondary jaw, when the nut is engaged into the engaging portion.

[0030] Some embodiments of the device eliminates the difficulty in tightening/loosening the nut of the gland or a junction box in a congested place.

[0031] Some embodiments of the device is light in weight and easy for handling.

[0032] Some embodiments of the device requires less space for storage as the device is made in two parts. The two parts are primary and secondary jaw as one part and the wrench pipe as the second part.

[0033] Some embodiments of the device is cost effective.

[0034] Although implementations for the device 500 have been described in language specific to structural features and/or methods, it is to be understood that the appended claims are not necessarily limited to the specific features or methods described. Rather, the specific features and methods are disclosed as examples of implementation for the device 500.
