Abstract: Natural resources are getting depleted due to urbanization and infrastructure development in various countries like India. Consequently, people have started searching for other suitable and viable alternative materials for concrete. The existing natural resources could be preserved to the best possible extent, for future generations. In this regard, different industrial waste materials such as fly ash, silica fume, quarry dust, tile waste, blast furnace slag, broken glass waste, waste aggregate from demolition of structures, ceramic insulator waste, etc. have been tried as viable substitute materials to conventional materials in concrete and have also succeeded. Glass Powder Concrete (GPC) is the starting substance for the mass production of concrete products like pipes, slabs, pavement stones, precast elements, curb stones etc. The Glass aggregate concrete mixed packing of all ingredients will be investigated as an optimum packing, which is the key for a good and durable concrete. These particles are smaller than the capillary pores. They may improve the workability, compactibility, green strength, packing density, compressive strength, and durability. The products will be developed through proper proportionating, mixing and testing of constituents like fly ash, silica fume and glass powder. Then the performance and evaluation of material will be studied.
3. PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION : COMPLETE
The aim of our invention is to utilize the waste glass in construction industry and it is named as "Glasscrete Building Blocks". The construction waste glass is chosen for this work. The result shows that these building blocks gives high performance properties compared to conventional.blocks currently used in construction industry. Glasscrete building blocks give better strength, reduction in crack formation, high thermal also resistance to wear and tear. These innovative building blocks can be used for partition wall in buildings, alternative for refractory brick lining in chimneys, Pavement blocks in roads etc.,
4. DESCRIPTION
By proportioning all the constituents like fly ash, Silica fume and Glass powder as a partial replacement of cement, it paves the way for tremendous progress in workability, Compactibility Green Strength, Load carrying capacity and reduction of aggregate content. These products must exhibit not only sufficient strength, density and exact dimensional accuracy, but also high resistance to abrasion and absorption. Innovative concrete mass products meet demands of the future. These products reduce pollution and increase the efficiency in the utilization of industrial waste.
5. CLAIMS I/We claim
