German patent No. DE 102006006852 describes a glove box with a spacer divider that variably divides the box. The divider includes two parts that are connected with each other by a joint that is designed as a retractable hinge-joint. An axis of the joint lies in a level of the space divider and runs parallel to a side edge of the space divider. The space divider is inserted in guide rails that are integrated in the box. The guide rails are arranged such that different positions of the space divider are provided in the box.
It addresses effective space utilization within the glove box by segregating it for articles to be stored.
