Glue Filling Apparatus
FIELD OF THE INVENTION
The present invention is related to apparatus for glue filling on test piece for sealing,
gluing and potting operation and more particularly cylinder, piston, lever & nozzle
arrangement in a combination act as glue filling machine on required test piece.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The gluing operation in one of the important operation for electronic, mechanical &
optical assembly where addition of two surface, filling of test piece, sealing of
assemble and other same type of process stage. This decides the overall quality
performance of said assembly & this become the most critical when the assembly is
purely optical. The existing facilities for glue filling operation, in general, on test
piece, require specific arrangement as per requirement i.e. one type of glue filling
machine can not be use in place of other. Sometimes, the glue filling machine
changes as per material quantity & constituents. Accuracy of glue filling operation for
available glue filling machines is not up to the mark so it can not be used for precious
optical assembly & sealing operation. The available glue filing machine handling is
one of the issues which restrict its effective utilization, as they are not handy to
operate.
SUMMARY OF PRESENT INVENTION
The existing process of glue filling operation at required place, for sealing & addition
of two assemblies, is putting glue by glass rod or injection. With this type of
arrangement, the glue gets spread in non-uniform manner on the surface of

assembly. It is very difficult to control the right amount of glue on the test piece. The
said arrangement of gluing causes proper cleaning & removal of extra glue from the
assembly surface after gluing operation. This type of gluing procedure is also
hazardous for operator due to its unnecessary exposure to person who handles the
operation. Since glue constituents are chemical active material & may react as side
effect on the skin of the human body.
New adopted methodology for gluing in optical assembly and other glue filling area
by said apparatus is useful in accordance of following aspects:
In accordance with one aspect of present invention, the said machine
provides effective gluing operation on any type of test piece.
In accordance with second aspect of present invention is a smaller and handy
glue filling apparatus.
In accordance with another aspect of present invention is to provide the
minimum hazardous condition for operator.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention is to provide a
manual control during glue filling operation on required test piece.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the said
apparatus is common to use for glue filling for any type of glue chemical
composition.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the said invention
is common for all type of assembly platform i.e. electronic, mechanical & optical.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the smaller
diameter of nozzle provide controlled ejaculation of gluing operation in right amount
on the test piece.

In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, by variation of
nozzle diameter the operator can increase the glue amount on the test piece.
The cylinder & piston placement position adjustment facility in said apparatus
makes it useful for different pressure of glue filling in test pieces.
In accordance with yet another aspect of present invention, the said
apparatus is assembly of lever, cylinder, piston & nozzle which can easily
dis-assembled for cleaning.
Briefly, the present invention is common type of glue filling machine which can
be used at different platform test piece & for different type of glue material.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION
Referring figure 1, 2 & 3, the present invention is glue filling machine used for filling
of glue on the test piece via nozzle. The lever 1 is combination of two lever (left &
right) joint on upper side by nut screw arrangement which provide its motion left &
right side w.r.t. x-axis. The independent mechanical design figure of lever is shown in
fig-3. The said lever has slight curve at handle side which makes it handy for
operation. On upper side, L-shape curve is made for attachment using nut-screw
which provides said assembly an obstruction free movement.
The cylinder 2 is main cavity in which glue is filled before apply on the test
piece. The section is made of metallic enclosure like copper & has thicker wall side
so that it could handle pressure of piston 3. The piston 3 is made of solid material of

diameter slightly less then the diameter of cylinder 2, so that during pressing of
piston 3 inside the cylinder 2, the sufficient pressure can be created inside the
cylinder 2 and glue release through nozzle 4 tip.
The nozzle 4 of the glue filling machine is main outlet of the said machine
which is welled with the cylinder 2. The length of nozzle is kept as per assembly
requirement.
The complete glue filling machine is assembly of lever 1, cylinder 2, piston 3 &
nozzle 4. Glue filling operation on required test piece is done by pressuring lever 1
by hand. The center axis of piston 3 & cylinder 2 is aligned to each other such that,
when operator presses the lever 1 by hand, the piston 3 is automatically inserted into
the cylinder. This process generates pressure inside cylinder 2 which causes release
of glue through nozzle 4 on the required test piece.

We Claim

1. The Glue filling apparatus comprising
- Cylinder for filling glue,
- Piston to generate sufficient pressure to ejaculate glue,
- Nozzle to direct the flow of glue onto test piece &
- Lever to drive the apparatus
connected together using suitable nuts & screws.
2. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1, wherein the said apparatus is used in different type of test piece like electronic, mechanical & optical assembly for glue filling and sealing operation.
3. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 further coupled with, the motion of lever inward cause insertion of piston inside the cylinder and outward motion cause extraction of piston from cylinder.
4. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1, wherein the inner diameter of cylinder is slightly larger then the outer diameter of piston which cause press fit motion of piston inside the cylinder.
5. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 further coupled with the press fit motion of piston inside the cylinder generate pressure inside the filled glue of cylinder and release of glue through nozzle.
6. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 wherein, is a smaller and handy.
7. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 wherein manual controlled & nozzle provide controlled manner of gluing operation in right amount on the test piece.
8. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 wherein any type of glue (chemical composition) can be used.
9. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 wherein is to provide the minimum hazardous condition for operator.
10. The glue filling apparatus of claim 1 wherein is easy to dis-assembly & assemble, so cleaning of the apparatus is easy & fast.
