1. A grinding aid composition comprising steel balls and by-products derived from transeste\ic~ion
reaction involving triglycerides or by-product from a biodiesel manufacturing process or a
combination thereof, wherein by-products consisted of glycerine, mong, methyl esters, methanol,
inorganic salts and water, thereby reducing the agglomeration of ground particles in a grinding
operation and reduces the energy required to grind such particle.
2. The grinding aid composition as claimed in claim 1, in which the by-product comprises SO ~o 90
weight percent of glycerine.
3. The grinding aid composition as claimed in claim 1 and 2, wherein the by-product ornprises o, 1
to 7 weight percent of one or more inorganic salts.
4. The grinding aid composition as claimed in claim 1, 2 and 3, wherein the by-product is diluted
with up to 50 weight percent of water.
5. The composition as claimed in claim 1, 2 and 3, wherein the by-product is non-flammable and
has no flash point.
6. The composition as claimed in claim 1, 2 and 3, wherein the by-product reduces the energy
needed to grind particles at least in part by being strongly absorbed by the particles.
7. The composition as claimed in claim 1 , 2 and 3 wherein ground particles coating the steel balls is
prevented.
