Abstract: This grain-oriented electrical steel sheet has on the surface a finish-annealed coating predominantly composed of forsterite and an insulation coating containing pseudo-tetragonal crystalline aluminum borate and silica, and one or both surfaces of the steel sheet has linear grooves or rows of dot-shaped recesses having a depth of 5-40 µm.
