Abstract: Provided is a grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet that enables reduction of iron loss and improvement of adhesiveness of a secondary coating film. In the grain-oriented electromagnetic steel sheet according to the present embodiment, when a glow discharge emission spectrometric analysis is carried out from the surface of the secondary coating film in a thickness direction of a base material steel sheet, a glow emission spectrum indicating relationships between a sputtering time and emission intensity of Mg and between a sputtering time and emission intensity of Sn is obtained, wherein when the maximum emission intensity of Mg is defined as IMg/Mg and the emission intensity of Sn at the sputtering time at which Mg reaches the maximum emission intensity is defined as ISn/Mg in the glow emission spectrum, the intensity ratio Iref defined by formula (1) is between 0.0000 and 0.0006, and the iron loss W17/50 is less than 0.90 W/kg.
