PREAMBLE TO THE DESCRIPTION
The following specification describes the invention


Field of Invention
This invention relates to head lamp delay (follow me home head lamp flashing) for assisting driver or passengers of a vehicle to reach the destination after coming out of the vehicle during night time.
Background of Invention
Follow me home functions are used for guiding the driver or passenger to reach the destination after coming out of the vehicle during night time. The head lamp is flashed for certain time so that the driver or the passengers can reach the destination. This provision is provided in the vehicle to assist the driver or the passengers during night time to reach the destination point after coming out the vehicle. The follow me home function is incorporated in the most the vehicle wherein the driver has to press the function button from outside the vehicle to activate so that the head lamp is flashed for a particular period. The function is activated manually after coming out of the vehicle by pressing a flash button on the key knob.
Objects of Invention
The object of the present invention is to provide a follow me home function which is activated by coming out of the vehicle by identifying vehicle door closed condition.
Another object of the present invention is to provide a follow me home function in which the head lamp flashing duration can be extended based on a manual input.
Brief description of the drawings
Figure 1 shows the flow diagram for head lamp delay method.
Detailed description of the invention
Referring to the figure 1, the method of head lamp delay for vehicle is explained in figure! After removal of the ignition key, the head lamp delay activated by


pressing the head lamp flash. If the parking off then the head lamp ON immediately after activating the head lamp delay. If the flash is pressed again within T1 sec, the head lamp delay deactivated and head lamp turned OFF. If the driver door opened and closed within T1 sec then the head lamp ON for T2 sec, and if door is not opened within T1 sec head lamp turned OFF after T1 sec. After closing the door on pressing unlock button on remote, head lamp switched OFF. Again if lock button pressed on the remote within T3 sec head lamp ON for another T4 sec. In the above method time delays preferably taken as T1 = 20 Sec, T2 = 60 Sec, T3 = 300 Sec and T4 = 30 Sec. Time delays T1, T2 & T3 are set from the head lamp flash for activating the head lamp delay function.

It should be appreciated that this embodiment is described for purpose of illustration only, and that numerous alterations and modifications may be practiced by those skilled in the art without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. It is intended that all such modifications and alterations be included insofar as they come within the scope of the invention as claimed or the equivalents thereof.
