Specification

FIELD OF INVENTION
The present invention generally relates to headlamp mounting arrangement in a scooter type vehicle and more particularly to mounting arrangement on one side of the front panel of the scooter. BACKGROUND OF INVENTION
Generally, in scooter type vehicles headlamp is mounted in the centre of the front panel and wiring harness for that is arranged behind it. Other electrical components such as horn and turn lamp and respective wiring harness are arranged in space left behind the headlamp in front panel. In order to arrange required wiring harness left and right side space is used which leads to a complex mounting and also gives difficult serviceability. SUMMARY OF INVENTION
Main objective of present invention is to disclose a mounting mechanism for a headlamp assembly. Said head lamp unit is mounted on one side of front panel such that it is mounted in a vertical plane parallel to the head tube. The mounting front of the headlamp shifts backwards compare to the centre position headlamp and lies in a close proximity of a steering tube of the steering assembly. A mounting space formed by the mounting front location lies behind the front-most surface of the steering assembly giving more space for mounting headlamp and for its wiring harness.
Summary provided above explains the basic features of the invention and does not limit the scope of the invention. Additional detailed information related to the enablement of the invention will be provided in the detailed description and

accompanying claims. Scope of the invention shall be based on the claims
provided.
BRIEF DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS
The present invention will become more fully understood from the detailed description given herein below and the accompanying drawing(s). Provided drawings are incorporated in and constitute embodiments of the invention and illustrates several aspects of the invention and together with a description of the embodiments serve to explain the principles of the invention. Drawings given below are provided to support the description of the invention and are not limiting the scope of the present invention. A brief description of the drawing is as follows:
Figure 1 is showing the headlamp mounting arrangement in existing scooter type vehicle.
Figure 2 and Figure 3 are depicting the mounting arrangement of the headlamp as an embodiment of the present invention. DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF INVENTION
The embodiments disclosed below are not intended to be exhaustive or to limit the invention to the precise forms disclosed in the following detailed description. Rather, the embodiments are chosen and described so that best enabling arrangements of the invention can be explained through all possible embodiments and examples of it. The invention may have application to all kind of scooters or two wheeled vehicles per se.

The invention is related to a scooter type vehicle 100 that has a steering assembly on its front part. Said steering assembly defines a steering handle 101, a steering tube S passing through a head tube 102 of the scooter 100. Said head tube 102 is fixed on the upper end of the down tube 107 of the frame of the scooter 100. Lower end of the steering tube S is further connected to the front suspension system 105 that is further supporting front wheel 106. Different wirings and cables like brake cable 104 and electrical wiring harness etc. are aligned along the head pipe 102, down tube 107 and in the space available in vicinity. A front panel (not shown in figures) is mounted in front of the scooter 100 such that said steering assembly, front suspension system 105, head tube 102, brake cable 104 and wiring harness etc. are covered behind said front cover. A head lamp 103 is mounted on the front part of the scooter 100 through said front panel.
Referring to Figure 1, prior art disclosure of the headlamp 103 mounting arrangement for scooter 100 is shown. Headlamp 103 is mounted in the centre of the front panel leaving a mounting front MF behind it for wiring harness. This mounting front MF lies in the area available between the steering tube S and the front panel and forms a mounting space ES for headlamp mounting that includes its wirings. In that mounting space ES wiring harness of the head lamp as well as of other electrical components such as horn and turn lamp etc. are to be arranged. In order to provide required wiring harness, left and right side space is used that leads to a complex mounting and also gives difficult serviceability.
Further referring to Figure 2 and Figure 3, mounting mechanism of the headlamp as an embodiment of the present invention is provided. As shown, the

head lamp 103 is mounted on one side of front panel. Said headlamp 103 is mounted in a vertical plane VP that parallel to the head tube 102. The mounting front MF of the headlamp 103 shifts backwards by a considerable distance D as the space available on the sides of the front panel is more and a mounting space ES is formed such that the mounting front MF lies in a close proximity of a steering tube S of the steering assembly.
Further, the mounting space ES for mounting of headlamp 103 and its wiring harness in said vertical plane VP lies behind the front-most surface F of the steering tube S. Said mounting space ES is best fit for invention if it exists along the steering tube S, however it may lie behind said steering tube S or may extend along and behind the steering tube S, in accordance to the requirement of the scooter 100.
This shift in mounting location of the headlamp 103 on one side of the panel, results in mounting front MF backward shift D that primarily reduces the front panel size and leaves one side of the front panel and space underneath for any other requirement like wiring harness or and other component mounting.

WHAT IS CLAIMED IS
1) A scooter type vehicle, comprising a steering assembly fixed with a front suspension system through a head tube such that the steering assembly, head tube and the front suspension system is mounted behind a front panel unit, characterized in that a head lamp unit is mounted on one side of front panel and wherein the headlamp is mounted in a vertical plane parallel to the head tube.
2) The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 1, wherein a mounting front of the headlamp lies in a close proximity of a steering tube of the steering assembly.
3) The scooter type vehicle, as claimed in claim 1, wherein a mounting space in the vertical plane for headlamp mounting lies behind the front-most surface of the steering assembly.
