Abstract: A heat exchanger (1) according to the present invention is provided with a heat exchange unit (2) and a branching/merging section (3) that is connected to the heat exchange unit (2) and that has formed therein a branching flow path and a merging flow path. The branching/merging section (3) separately comprises a first header in which the branching flow path is formed and the merging flow path is not formed and a second header that is arranged side by side with the first header and in which the merging flow path is formed and the branching flow path is not formed. At least one of the first header and the second header is a stacked header (51) in which a plurality of plate shaped members having a partial flow path formed therein are stacked so that the partial flow paths thereof are connected to one another and the branching flow path or the merging flow path is thereby formed.
