FIELD OF THE INVENTION
This invention is relates to readymade domestic water storage tank which generally connects
with colony or municipal overhead tank or with high pressure water supply line to fill
themselves. The traditional water tank available in market has many faults and other
problems. They could not use their full capacity and most of them occurs overflow generally.
No suitable water storage tank design is available, which can adjust his height for being fit
into places create by mezzanine floor bytoilets, latrine, bathroom, store, pray room or loft
etc.The tank presenting through this invention can adjust his height and never occur
overflow.
BACKGROUND OF THE INVENTION
The continuous water supply is an essential service for a modern home. Use of Water storage
tank is the most common and reliable method to get continuous service of water supply. So
now-a-days we can see water storage tank in every home general at top of terrace roof.
Nearby 50 to 55% of them are fed by water supplied by colony or municipal overhead water
tank or by high water pressure supply. These tanks do not need any motor pump for feeding.
The present invention is a new design of this 50 to 55% segment in which there is no need of
motor pump to feed the tank. The traditional tanks have many problems and demerits. Due to
installation of anti-overflow device, inside the tank, they cannot be filled in their full volume.
They cannot move after installation. Overflow occur generally through these tanks and
wastage of water and losses generates due to damp is to face.
Traditional tank need up to 3 feet clear space above their top for installation. Most of person
does not know the size oftankavailable in market and thatthe 3 feet clear space above their
top is required in installation. During installation many tanks could not enter the chamber
construct for it due to low height space. In this condition demolition of Chamber become
must and this is loss of time, money and resources. Many time we want install the tank into
randomly born mezzanine floor situated at toilets, latrine, bathroom, and store, pray room or
loftbut tanks does enter these mostly due to tank height problem.
PRIOR ART DEVICES
Prior arts of Water storage tank which can adjust his height is not appeared. Beyond this
there are so many designs of tanks are available but they have fixed height. It is also

remarkable that there is no tank design available especially, to install in low height
mezzanine floor such as toilets, latrine, bathroom, store, pray room or loft, whereas there is
big need of them.
Although other type of tank available in market can be divide into two types.
(I) Vertical shape tanks.
(2) Landscape tanks.
Both types of these traditional tanks have need up to 3 feet clear space compulsory, at their
top/cover to installation. This required 3 feet height and space is wastage of resources, if we
want cover the tank.
DEMERITS OF PRIOR ART DEVICES
1 Traditional tanks cannot fill fully. Nearby 10 to 15% of total volume at the top of tank
remains free due to installation of anti-overflow components.
2 Due to ridge Connection of inlet and outlet pipe, fracture or defect occur in tank body or
other parts during tank cleaning.
3 Traditional tanks are makes in fixed height so create difficulties installation of pre-construct
chamber.
4 If we want place the tank into any chamber for safety and to avoid temperature variation,
then traditional tanks need of up to 3' clear space at its top for installation, latter this space
become useless,.
5 Available Anti-overflow devices for traditional tanks are not durable and nobody is bound
to use them because they are not compulsory part of tank. So in most cases tanks get
overflow.
6 Traditional tanks are not mosquito and insect free.
OBJECT OF THE INVENTION
(I) To provide such design of water storage tank which can adjust his height. Especially
useful for space in mezzanine floor of toilets, latrine, bathroom, and store, pray room or loft.
(II) To provide such design of water tank which can be move or shift mildly after
installation?
(III) To design a water tank which can use is there full capacity for storing water.

(IV) To avoid fracture in inlet and outlet components at the time of tank cleaning.
(V) To design fully anti-overflow tank with cheap and easy working components for stop
wastage of water.
(VI) To reduce cost of tank’s chamber by decreasing height of construction.
(VII) To design a mosquito and other insects free water tank.
SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION
There are so many difficulties and problems in traditional domestic water storage tank as
described in ‘Background of the invention’. Some of these are- Less durable overflow
component cause heavy wastage of water, damp, Insect and mosquito, no design available fit
for mezzanine floor such as toilets, latrine, bathroom, store, pray room or loft,fracture in inlet
and outlet component at the time of tank cleaning, demolishing of pre-constructed tank cabin
which have somewhat less height than tank. Behind this invention main goal is to remove all
these demerits at once. ’Height adjustable water storage tank’ is capable to remove all the
demerits. This tank has variable height so it is very useful for use in non-programmed and
uncertain height tank cabin. This tank cannot overflow, So many problems generate by damp
will not occur.There is no need to buy anti-overflow system for tank, because it is in-built.
This is insects free; mosquito does not grow up in tank. This tank uses his full capacity. The
storage capacity increases up to 15% at same price andcondition of tank.
DESCRIPTION OF DRAWINGS

DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION
In figure number 1 an adjustable height water storage tank is shown. The major parts of
invention are tank body (1), inlet pipe (13), outlet pipe (8), airtight cover (3) and antioverflow
device (15). The tank body (1) have a special segment in their height, called hear
hose segment (2). The hose segment (2) is helpful to adjust the tank height according to
height of available space. Due to it flexible design, tank's height can be decrease in some
length. If there is some extra space on the top of tank then its height may increase also. This
design can use less space and also extra space. At the top of tank (1) a water tight cover (3) is

placed. Where cover (3) and tank body (1) connects each other, threads (5) are provided
outside in tank body and for same purpose threads (4) are provided inside the cover (3). A
rubber seal ring (6) is also placed between cover (3) and tank (1) for water tightening the
tank. For easy opening and tightening the cover (3) on tank, fins (7) are provided.
Water comes into tank (1) through inlet pipe (13). Water inlet pipes (13) have some
component such a flexible hose pipe (14) and water tight coupling (12). The flexible segment
(14) of inlet pipe (13) provides the facility to easy and safe movement of tank (1) in narrow
space during its placement. The coupling (12) connects inlet pipe (13) to tank (1) with watertightness.
Water gets out for use through water outlet pipe (8). The water outlet pipes (8) have
some components such as flexible hose pipe (9), gate valve (11) and coupling (10). Coupling
(10) connects water outlet pipe (8) to tank (1) with water-tightness. Function of gate valve
(11) is to control the water supply.
A anti-overflow device (15) is placed laterally to tank cover (3), the detail of this device is
shown in figure number (2). Main body of anti-overflow device (15) is made by invert U
shaped pipe, its one end is connect with tank body (1) through watertight coupling (16), the
other end of this device has a mesh (21). The mesh (21) checks enter of mosquito and other
insect into the tank. Anti-overflow device (15) has a disc (17) inside. There is a rectangle hole
(18) in disc (17). In the bottom of disc (17) a flexible rubber seal (19) is fixed with a nut-bolt
(20).
DESCRIPTION OF MECHANISM OF THE DEVICE
The installation of this device is very simple. First step is to fit inlet pipe (13), outlet pipe (8),
anti-overflow device (15) and air tight cover (3) with tank body (1) atoutside the place in
which it is to be installed. Second step is toset the tank into available/ desire place. If the
available place has somewhat low height then press to its cover downward. Due to hose
segment (2) of tank, its height can be decrease. The hose segment of inlet pipe (9) and outlet
pipe (14) , helps to easy and harmless movement of tank (1) into any narrow Place. When the
water enter to the tank (1) through inlet pipe (13), the water level increases inside the tank.At
the continuous incoming of water, its level raised up to tankscover’sbottomand then enter to
anti-overflow pipe (15). Progressively raising of water touches, the rubber seal (19) and uplift
it, by this process rubber seal moves upward and then close to the hole (18) of disc (17).

When the rubber seal pack the whole (18), incoming of water occurs stop. In this condition
tank become totally full.
Air can enter the tank through only mesh (21), so mosquito and other insects cannot enter to
the tank. When water supplied to utility through outlet pipe (8), the water level inside the tank
goes downwards, in this condition rubber seal (19) drop downwards and air enter to tank (1).
Thus no vacuum occur inside the tank. Due to flexible segment in inlet and outlet pipes,
water tank can we move or shift somewhat after final installation during cleaning.
ADVANTAGE OF INVENTION
1 If need of supply of water decrease sometime after installation of tank and we want to
reduce the tank size for the purpose of getting more fresh water, then this is possible in this
tank, because we can decrease its height.
2 In traditional type of water tanks nobody bounds to installation-overflow components and
repair, but in this invent tank there is no option to do so, because anti-overflow device is an
in-built part of this tank.
3 The chamber which is constructed already and has their height somewhat less than required
height of available tank, the height adjustable water storage tank is very useful, because its
height is variable.
4 The anti-overflow components of this tank are cheap, durable, easy functioning and have
low maintenance.

WE CLAIM:
1 A height adjustable water storage tank comprises a tank body (1) and its flexible hose
segment (2) and air-tight cover (3) and inlet pipe (13) and outlet pipe (8) and anti-overflow
device (15).
2 The system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said tank body (1) consist outside threads (5) at
connection points with cover (3).
3 The system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said inlet pipe (13) consist flexible segment (14)
and water tight coupling (12) with tank body (1).
4 The system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said outlet pipe (8) consist flexible segment (9)
and a gate valve (11) and water tight coupling (10).
5 The system as claimed in claim 1 wherein said cover (3) consist inside threads (4) and
rubber seal ring (6) and fins (7).
6 The system as claimed in claim 1 to 5 wherein said anti overflow device (15) consist a disk
(17), and a hole (18) and rubber seal (19) and a nut-bolt (20) and mesh (21) and water tight
coupling (16).
