Present invention relates to a system for assuring whether the rider is wearing a protective helmet. More particularly, the present invention relates to a system wherein the rider confirms wearing helmet as well as reminds the rider to wear the helmet.
Background of invention:
The impact when a motorcyclist involves in a high speed accident without wearing a helmet is very dangerous and can cause fatality. Wearing a helmet can reduce shock from the impact and may save a life. There are many countries enforcing a regulation that requires the motorcycle's rider to wear a helmet when riding on their motorcycle.
There are various patents available on protective covering (helmet), however, there does not exist a system which actually makes sure that the rider is wearing the helmet.
Thus, there arises a need to develop a system, to improve the safety of a bike rider.

Detailed description of Invention:
Reference will now be made in detail to the exemplary embodiment of the present disclosure. Before describing the detailed embodiments that are in accordance with the present disclosure, it should be observed that the embodiments reside primarily in combinations arrangement of the system according to an embodiment herein and as exemplified in Figure. 1.
Any embodiment described herein is not necessarily to be construed as preferred or advantageous over another embodiment. All of the embodiment described in this detailed description are illustrative, and provided to enable persons skilled in the art to make or use the disclosure and not to limit the scope of the disclosure, which is defined by the claims.
It will be apparent to those skilled in the art that various modifications and variations can be made to the present embodiment without departing from the spirit and scope of the invention. Thus, it is intended that the present embodiment and disclosure cover the modifications and variations of this invention provided they come within the scope of the appended claims and their equivalents.
In the following description, for the purpose of explanation, numerous specific details are set forth in order to provide a thorough understanding of the arrangement of the system according to an embodiment herein. It will be apparent, however, to one skilled in the art, that the present embodiment can be practiced without these specific details. In other instances, structures are shown in block diagram form only in order to avoid obscuring the present invention.
Figure 1 shows a block diagram showing the major components of the system 100. The system 100 comprises of an Infrared camera 11 which detect Live Stream Video or captured image is tallied from saved images of protective helmets, stored in a SD card 12 of a microcontroller 13. If the detected Live Stream Video or the captured images of the rider matches with image of saved protective helmets, the microcontroller 13 sends information to notification module 14 to inform the rider to wear the helmet.
According to an aspect of the invention, the Infrared camera 11 detect Live Stream Video or capture images periodically to assure that the rider is still wearing the helmet.
According to an aspect of the invention, the Infrared camera 11 can be set in image capture mode or Live Stream Video Mode.
According to an aspect of the invention, the Infrared camera, notification module 14 and microcontroller 13 are powered by battery of bike 15.
According to an aspect of the invention, the notification module 14 can be an audio alarm or LED or both.
According to an aspect of the invention, the notification module can be set on audio alarm notification or LED notification or both audio alarm notification or LED notification.
When the rider turns the bike on, an Infrared camera detects Live Stream Video or captures image of the rider of the rider and helmet. The image is analyzed by microcontroller and compared with images saved in SD card in built in the microcontroller. The microcontroller uses an interface algorithm confirming the wearing or not wearing of the helmet and accordingly, sending information to notification module to notify the rider for wearing of helmet, if the detected Live Stream Video or captured image does not matches with images saved in SD card.
According to an embodiment of the invention, Infrared camera is placed inside the speedometer to detect humans face. This Infrared camera is connected to micro controller which is connected to notification module. The camera is set to image capture mode. The notification module is set to audio alarm mode. Then the bike is turn on and in the instance rider do not wear helmet. Then, the infrared camera captures image and the image is analyzed
by microcontroller and compared with images saved in SD card in built in the microcontroller. The micro controller then send information to notification module to notify the rider for wearing of helmet.
Working:
The product is working by the uses of Infrared camera and micro controller that detects whether a person is wearing helmet or not by the use of audio alarm or LED or both. Infrared camera act as an input device and it is connected to a microcontroller and microcontroller send signal to the output device that is audio alarm or LED or both. Infrared camera detects a human face under three possible cases.
Case 1- Wearing a helmet:
If the rider is wearing proper helmet, IR imager will detect the rider face, it will send signal to the micro controller and micro controller send signal to the notification module.
In this case the Infrared camera detects the helmet by comparing the detected Live Stream Video or Captured Image by tallying database of initially uploaded different types of helmets
Case 2- Not wearing anything:
If the rider is not wearing helmet, IR imager will detect the rider face, it will send signal to the micro controller and micro controller send signal to the notification module which will send the required notification by audio alarm or LED or both.
Case 3- Wearing some clothes or any covering over face or improper helmet:
If the rider is not wearing proper helmet or covering over face or any caps, IR imager will detect the rider face, it will send signal to the notification module which will send the required notification by audio alarm or LED or Both.
After knowing these cases, notification module will give the audio alarm or LED or both which is pre-programmed in micro controller with the corresponding case.
