Herbal Anti Dandruff Shampoo And Method Of Preparation Thereof

Abstract: The invention discloses an herbal anti-dandruff shampoo and method of preparation thereof. The shampoo comprises 50g of Acacia concinna, 50g of Sapindus mukorossi, 50g of Phyllanthus emblica, 50g of Trigonella foenum-graecum, 50g of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, 50g of Azadirachta indica, 50g of Syzygium aromaticum, 50g of Aloe barbadensis and 50g of Musa acuminata. In addition to the conventional hair cleaning function, the anti-dandruff shampoo provided by the invention is capable of effectively relieving and controlling the hair health problems such as scalp itching and excessive dandruff and is healthy and free of toxins or any side effects. Description:FIELD OF INVENTION:
[0001] The present disclosure relates to the cosmetics technical field, specifically a kind of herbal shampoo with anti-dandruff and hair care effect.

BACKGROUND AND PRIOR ART:
[0002] With the rise in living standards, people's rhythms of life have become more and more irregular, resulting in problems such as stress, regular insomnia of work and rest, and the increased ease with which people can come into contact with various chemical substances in their daily lives. As a result, the health problem of hair has become more varied and complicated.

[0003] Wherein, dandruff is many, alopecia, withered and yellowish hairs and poliosis, is several frequently seen hair problem, and these several hair problems are not generally single existence, often presents the concurrent phenomenon of multiple hair problem.

[0004] The traditional shampoo, which simply has a cleaning function, cannot meet the demands of the public. These offer unique conditioning properties, and the shampoo that has numerous conditioning effects at the same time is very popular with customers.

[0005] People often complain about various brand of a shampoo that has caused various conditions such as scalp irritation, hair loss.

[0006] Herbal shampoo is the cosmetic preparations that with the use of traditional Ayurvedic herbs are meant for cleaning the hair and scalp just like regular shampoo. It is a hair care product, typically in the form of viscous liquid that is used for cleaning hair. There are many different types of ingredients for making an herbal shampoo. Each ingredient has specific activity in herbal shampoo’s formulation.

[0007] Shikakai is a native shrub of the central plains of Southern India, shikakai refers to the fruit pods, leaves, and bark of the shikakai plant. With a very low pH, and it’s used in Ayurvedic shampoo to calmly cleanse without stripping hair of natural oils. Also, it acts as a great natural detangler.

[0008] Reetha is the main lather-generating ingredient in shampoo. Also, it’s anti-bacterial and anti-fungal, so it’s effective for treating dandruff and other scalp issues.

[0009] Amla also known as the “Indian Gooseberry” is an antioxidant herb with high level of vitamin C is responsible for stimulating the scalp.

[0010] Fenugreek Seed Powder is applied topically in shampoo, promotes hair growth.

[0011] Hibiscus is the deep red plant that encourages hair growth and invigorates the scalp and also a great coloring agent.

[0012] Neem is rich in omega-6 and vitamin E and acts as a terrific natural conditioner for dry and frizzy hair.

[0013] Cloves give shampoos a sweet fragrance.

[0014] Aloe Vera is high in vitamins, minerals, and amino and fatty acids. It helps relive scalp itch and inflamation.

[0015] In the light of the aforementioned discussion, there exists a need for a novel formulation of herbal anti-dandruff shampoo with novel method of preparations thereof that would overcome the above-mentioned disadvantages.

[0016] The information disclosed in this background of the disclosure section is only for enhancement of understanding of the general background of the invention and should not be taken as an acknowledgement or any form of suggestion that this information forms the prior art already known to a person skilled in the art.

OBJECTS OF THE INVENTION:

[0017] The principal object of the present invention here is to overcome the drawbacks in the prior art and provide herbal composition for treatment dandruff and itchy scalp.

[0018] Another objective of the present disclosure is directed to provide natural formulation of a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo that also promotes overall growth of healthy hair.

[0020] Another objective of the present disclosure is directed to provide a low cost alternative to chemical shampoos that damage the hair or scalp.

[0021] Another objective of the present disclosure is directed to provide a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo preparation that is stable and functionally effective anti-dandruff shampoo by excluding all types of synthetic additives.

SUMMARY OF THE INVENTION:
[0022] Accordingly, the embodiments herein disclose a herbal shampoo with anti-dandruff and hair care effect.

[0023] According to one aspect of the present invention, there is provided a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo comprising a plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts, wherein the plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts comprises: 50g of Acacia concinna, 50g of Sapindus mukorossi, 50g of Phyllanthus emblica, 50g of Trigonella foenum-graecum, 50g of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, 50g of Azadirachta indica, 50g of Syzygium aromaticum, 50g of Aloe barbadensis and 50g of Musa acuminata dissolved in 100 ml of distilled water individually and boiled at 60°C; and aqueous extract of the plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts combined to provide the poly herbal anti-dandruff shampoo.

[0024] According to a further aspect of the present invention, the method starts with dissolving 50 gm each of powdered poly herbal extracts namely Rita, Liquorice gram, Brahmi, Pomegranate, Green gram, Hibiscus and Marigold in distilled water (approximately 100ml) to provide individual herbal extract solutions.

[0025] According to a further aspect of the present invention, the second step involves heating the individual herbal extract solutions at 60 °C is performed to enable the extraction of active components and provide individual aqueous herbal extract solutions.

[0026] According to a further aspect of the present invention, the third step includes measuring and mixing individual aqueous herbal extract solutions in required quantities to provide F1, F2, F3 and F4 poly herbal shampoo solutions is performed.

[0027] According to a further aspect of the present invention, next step includes standardizing the poly herbal shampoo solution for in-vitro activity evaluation of anti-dandruff activity is performed.

[0028] According to a further aspect of the present invention, washing dandruff affected hair with poly herbal shampoo solution and commercial shampoo to evaluate anti-dandruff activity is performed.

[0029] According to a further aspect of the present invention, at final step, it is observed that dandruff is reduced and almost removed from poly herbal shampoo solution washed hair. Poly herbal shampoo solution washed hair has greater efficacy and is milder on skin and/or hair than commercial shampoo treated hair.

DETAILED DESCRIPTION OF THE INVENTION

[0036] The herbal anti-dandruff shampoo comprises a plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts, wherein the plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts comprises: 50g of Acacia concinna, 50g of Sapindus mukorossi, 50g of Phyllanthus emblica, 50g of Trigonella foenum-graecum, 50g of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, 50g of Azadirachta indica, 50g of Syzygium aromaticum, 50g of Aloe barbadensis and 50g of Musa acuminata dissolved in 100 ml of distilled water individually and boiled at 60°C; and aqueous extract of the plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts combined to provide the poly herbal anti-dandruff shampoo.

[0037] The method of preparation starts with dissolving 50 gm each of powdered poly herbal extracts namely Shikakai, Reetha, Amla, Fenugreek, Hibiscus, Neem, Clove, Aloe vera and banana in distilled water (approximately 100ml) to provide individual herbal extract solutions.

Claims:CLAIMS
We Claim,
1. A poly herbal anti-dandruff shampoo comprising:
50g of Acacia concinna, 50g of Sapindus mukorossi, 50g of Phyllanthus emblica, 50g of Trigonella foenum-graecum, 50g of Hibiscus rosa-sinensis, 50g of Azadirachta indica, 50g of Syzygium aromaticum, 50g of Aloe barbadensis and 50g of Musa acuminata
2. The composition as claimed in claim 1 is dissolved in 100 ml of distilled water individually and boiled at 60°C; and aqueous extract of the plurality of powdered poly herbal extracts combined to provide the herbal anti-dandruff shampoo.
3. A method for preparing a herbal anti-dandruff shampoo as claimed in claim 1 comprises:
a. dissolving 50 g each of powdered poly herbal extracts namely Shikakai, Reetha, Amla, Fenugreek, Hibiscus, Neem, Clove, Aloe vera and banana in distilled water to provide individual herbal extract solutions;
b. heating the individual herbal extract solutions at 60 °C to enable the extraction of active components to provide individual aqueous herbal extract solutions;
c. measuring and mixing individual aqueous herbal extract solutions in required quantities to provide poly herbal shampoo solutions;
d. standardizing the herbal shampoo solution for in-vitro activity evaluation of anti-dandruff activity;
e. washing dandruff affected hair with herbal shampoo solution and commercial shampoo to evaluate anti-dandruff activity; and
f. dandruff is reduced and almost removed from herbal shampoo solution washed hair, wherein the herbal shampoo solution washed hair has greater efficacy and is milder on skin and/or hair than commercial shampoo treated hair
