A process for the preparation of herbal antimicrobial bandage comprising the steps of: a. obtaining cotton fiber; b. obtaining bamboo fiber; c. weaving the cotton fiber and bamboo fiber to obtain a bandage; d. microencapsulating an antimicrobial extract; and e. coating the extract over the bandage, to obtain the herbal antimicrobial bandage.

6. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein microcapsules of the extract are coated on the compression bandage fabric surface by dip-dry method using acetic acid as binder and Sodium alginate as a wall material.

7. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the microbial extracts are selected from menthol, Verbascumthapsus (mullein),Vitex negundo (Chinese chaste tree), Galinsoga parviflora (Quick Weed), Achillea millefolium(yarrow).

8. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the consistency of sodium alginate is 1% weight/volume.

9. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the coating is done by dip-dry method.

a. obtaining cotton fiber;
b. obtaining bamboo fiber;
c. weaving the cotton fiber and bamboo fiber to obtain a bandage;
d. microencapsulating an antimicrobial extract; and
e. coating the extract over the bandage, to obtain the herbal antimicrobial bandage.
6. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein microcapsules of the extract are coated on the compression bandage fabric surface by dip-dry method using acetic acid as binder and Sodium alginate as a wall material.
7. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the microbial extracts are selected from menthol, Verbascumthapsus (mullein),Vitex negundo (Chinese chaste tree), Galinsoga parviflora (Quick Weed), Achillea millefolium(yarrow).
8. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the consistency of sodium alginate is 1% weight/volume.
9. The process as claimed in claim 5, wherein the coating is done by dip-dry method.
