Abstract: The present disclosure provides an opaque soap formulation with high liquid content that has superior in-use characteristics, and can yet be processed by conventional extrusion methods.
CLIAMS:1. An opaque soap formulation comprising of:
a. at least one soluble soap;
b. at least one carbonate;
c. at least one surfactant;
d. at least one inorganic filler; and
e. at least one polyol.
2. The opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one soluble soap to at least one surfactant to at least one carbonate w/w ratio in said opaque soap solution is in the range of 0.3:1:0.07-3:1:0.25.
3. The opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein said at least one inorganic filler to at least one polyol w/w ratio in said opaque soap solution is in the range of 1:1-1:25.
4. The opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, wherein
a. at least one soluble soap weight percentage is in the range of 4.5-11%
b. at least one carbonate weight percentage is in the range of 0.45-1.5%;
c. at least one surfactant weight percentage is in the range of 6-15%
d. at least one inorganic filler weight percentage is in the range of 3-6%; and
e. at least one polyol weight percentage is in the range of 2.5-5%.
5. The opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 1, optionally further comprising of suitable carriers, diluents, and excipients.
6. A method of preparing an opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 1.
7. An opaque soap formulation comprising of:
a. soap having weight percentage of 30-70%;
b. lauric acid having weight percentage of 1-8%;
c. alfa olefin sulfonate having weight percentage of 6-14%;
d. SLES 70% having weight percentage of 1-3%;
e. talc having weight percentage of 3-6%;
f. PEG 400 having weight percentage of 0.5-3%;
g. glycerin having weight percentage of 2.5-5%;
h. soda ash having weight percentage of 0.45-1.5%;
i. water having weight percentage of 8-20%; and
j. fragrance having weight percentage of 0.8-1.5%.
8. A method of preparing an opaque soap formulation as claimed in claim 7, said method comprising of:
a. adding soap and glycerine in a mixer to crush the noodles to powder form;
b. adding soda ash and mixing until homogenization;
c. adding lauric acid and mixing;
d. adding PEG 400 and mixing;
e. adding talc, surfactants and mixing; and
